Hello aspirant,

Firstly CSE and civil engineering are two completely different branches of engineering. CSE deals with computer softwares, programming and other computer related things while civil engineering is about construction which is physical. So first of all decide which branch interests you. Whether you would like to code or construct. Well, both the institutes are good, IIT will definitely give you a better exposure and opportunities. Know what you are interested in and then the decision will become easy.

Hi Sachin,

There are two semesters for preparatory courses in IIT Madras or any other IITs,

In first semester, you will have four theory papers, Physics-1, Chemistry-1, Mathematics-1 and English-1. You will be having two practical subjects called Physics Lab-1 and Chemistry Lab-1.

In Second semester, you will again have four theory papers, Physics-2, Chemistry-2, Mathematics-2 and English-2. You will be having two practical subjects called Physics Lab-2 and Chemistry Lab-2.

Hello Abhik,

In any course of any college, the syllabus is depicted along with a small table of L-T-P, Which are the structures and credits associated with each subject in the course. L refers to lectures per week, T refers to the number of tutorial lectures per week and P refers to the number of Practical lectures per week which are to be devoted to the subjects of the course curriculum. So, I think this is the information you needed. iit madras also follows the same.

Thankyou.

Hi, Hope you are doing well!

Hello aspirant ,
According to my research these all IIT are among the best IIT's so giving preference to the branch I think ECE at IIT bhu will be the best option to go with as it's is one of the top branch after CSE and IT.

Yes, do accept and float the present seat at IIT Guwahati in Josaa. There are many changes in preference order of students after the Second Mock round, hence the allotment at IITG. Most probably by Round 3 or 4, you should get Civil IIT Madras, so be prepared.

All the Best.

Yes ,
The college is good in terms of faculty , infrastructure and placements. Generally the placements are higher in computer science and it branches and top companies like amazon ,  Microsoft,  uber visit the campus for placements.
The placements are also decent in civil engineering and it ranges from 5.25 lakhs to 17.5 lakhs. And if you  maintained a good cgpa  then there are chances that you might get a good placement.
Hope it helps..

Hello,
You only get two consecutive attempts at JEE Advanced. First attempt is just after you pass in your class 12 and the second attempt is a year after you pass class 12.
For JEE Mains, you get three consecutive attempts in three years. In a year, you get two attempts at JEE Mains, one in January and in April.

So , If you have just passed your class 12, so you can take admission into Bsc course and prepare for JEE Mains and JEE Advanced as well.
But it would be really a hard process. You need to focus both on your Bsc studies as well as JEE preparation. You can also take a year drop and prepare for JEE Advanced.
So think wisely.

Firstly, congratulations if you have bagged admissions from both of them. They are top-notch IITs and apart from very few there wouldn't be any significant differences in both of them. Let us get into details now, shall we?

1. Placements: Placements are almost same in both of them. So that shouldn't be the criteria of ruling anyone out.

2. Higher studies: Both the colleges have numerous MoUs with foreign universities for exchange programmes. IIT Madras has MoUs with premier institutes all over the world like UC, San Diego, University of IllInois, Rice University, Purdue University, Penn State, EPFL Switzerland, NUS Singapore, PoliMi, and many more. This is the official list: https://oir.iitm.ac.in/foreign-universities-2/

IIT Delhi, on the other hand, has 116 MoUs with some of the premiere institutes but not as much as IIT Madras. They are slightly down in this domain. This is the official list: https://home.iitd.ac.in/active-mous.php

Choose wisely!
