Hello aspirant,

It is a two step process.  One needs to qualify the JEE Main exam and then take the JEE Advanced Exam.
One must have secured at least 75% marks (65% for SC/ST/PwD) in Class 12  OR One must be within the category-wise top 20 percentile in his/her respective Class XII board examination. Admissions are done on the basis of rank in JEE (Advanced) through JoSAA Counselling

yes, IIT Madras call for interview for M.Tech who has qualified first round (written exam).They used to ask some conceptual questions and some practical application oriented questions. They also see if the candidate is determined about selecting the area i.e whether the candidate is really intersted in research.

Yes, you can select JEE Advanced exam in any zone as per your preference. Just enter your preferred zone of taking exam while filling up the form and everything will be taken care off.

IITM is one of the most revered Institutes in India. The Mathematics and Computing course is extensive and offers great career scope. Research facilities are great if you want to pursue research, do projects etc. Data mining and other such fields have huge demands for computing, so career prospects are good in that regard. Placements are usually offered by Software companies and consultancy firms. Packages offered can be anything from 11 lpa to 25 lpa, depending primarily on your skill set. So make sure to work on those. Develop on depth knowledge of data mining, Big data, Machine learning etc. Good luck.

IIT,Madras offers M.Tech in 3 major streams:

  • Mechanical Design
  • Thermal Engineering
  • Manufacturing and Precision Engineering

I guess, according to your rank,there are chances of getting a seat in any one of the course, rest depends on your luck.

You can get some top IITs and NITs at this rank. Getting IIT Madras is somewhat difficult but you can definitely fetch seat in IIT BHU.

Hope you are doing well, Yes we can send more than one application for mtech in IIT Madras. It is for if you want to apply for more than 4 departments then you can submit separate applications to the department of your choice by paying the separate application fee. You can not edit the application and you need to reapply and pay the application fee.

Your score isn't enough to secure seats in the old IITs,you can secure seats in other IITs like IITs Hyderabad,IIT GUWAHATI,IIT MANDI etc.To know which other colleges you may get visit below mention link:

As a second-year BS Data Science student at IIT Madras, I am truly impressed by the vibrant campus. Modern lecture halls, advanced computer labs, and a vast digital library make studying here enjoyable. There are comfortable reading lounges and the greenery around gives a calm atmosphere for focusing on my studies.

IIT Madras is one of those places you hear about and imagine high-tech labs, brilliant minds, and a campus buzzing with activity. The library is huge and has pretty much every book or journal you could need. Hostels are decent, though some are better maintained than others, and the campus facilities like canteens, sports grounds, and Wi-Fi are reliable and student-friendly.
