IIT Delhi Fee Structure: Scholarships and Waivers

The tuition fee Waivers are applicable for students in IIT Delhi. If one's parent has a business income, it will be applicable as a combined income.

Criteria	% Fee Waiver
Parents come under the Below Poverty Line Category	100
Parents Gross Income in service is up to Rs. 6 LPA (Rs. 3.6 LPA for those parents who have business income) and last school fee paid is less than Rs. 0.25 LPA	50
Parents Gross Income in service is up to Rs. 8 LPA (Rs. 4.8 LPA for those parents who have business income) and the last school fee paid is less than Rs. 0.6 LPA	25

IIT Delhi offers scholarships to students, who want to pursue education ahead but belong to the EWS category. There are different scholarships:

• Institute Free Studentship: In this,10% of the undergraduate students are provided free studentship on the basis of their merit scores
• Donor Scholarship: In this, the Individual organizations and trusts provide leverage to students studying in the Institute.
• Institute Merit-cum-Means Scholarship: In this, the Institute offers INR 1000/month to 25% meritorious undergraduate students in engineering and technology.
• Institute Merit Prizes and Certificates: This scholarship is offered to the top 7% of students from B.Tech with an amount of INR 2500 up to the 8th and 10th semesters.

• Bachelor/Masters of Science.
• Bachelor/Masters in Technology.
• Bachelor/Masters of Design.

• Masters of Philosophy.
• Bachelor/Masters in Business Administration.

Masters in Computer Application was offered only in IIT Roorkee except all IITs. Since many year MCA was withdraw unfortunately. You can still apply for MCA in NITs (National Institute of Technology) all over india based on NIMCET Examination. Admissions in MCA Program is done through merit Ranking system in NIMCET. For getting admission into architecture stream in IIT Roorkee, the candidate must have to to appear in the aptitude architecture examination preceded by the JEE Arch paper and the JEE advance general paper.

The candidate must pass both the JEE advanced normal paper as well as the AAT paper for being eligible for architecture stream in the counselling rounds.

Your question appears to be somewhat unclear. IIT Roorke, Kanpur, Guwahati conducts placements for all the branches of Engineering not only CSE. If you are a student of these IITs, you will be entitled to placements, be it any branch of engineering, But, if you are not from these institutes, you cannot sit for on-campus placements, be it for CSE or any other course.

For Pwd category cutoff for jee mains will be less the 1 percentile.And it will require one to score only below 40 in jee mains . Even scoring 40-50 can fetch >60 percentile. These are just for qualifying for Adv , but if you want some NIT you should score better.

If we observe last year(2020) cutoff for Civil engineering in IIT Roorkee then the closing rank for EWS was 1114 in round 6 of counseling.

Whereas in 2019, the closing rank for EWS category for this branch was 515 in 7th round of counseling.

Now coming back to your question, for a seat of Civil engineering in IIT Roorkee, you must keep your EWS rank somewhere around 500 or below it, then only you might get chance to grab it. Seats for civil engineering in EWS category is around 14 only so competition is little tight.
