Course Overview

Principles and Applications of Building Science certification is an AICTE approved course that is conducted for a period of 4 weeks. It is held on the Swayam platform by two renowned institutions IIT Roorkee, and NPTEL. Both the construction and design professionals need command over the fundamental principles in the building of physics for ensuring efficiency functionally in already built environments. Certification Qualifying Details

Principles and Applications of Building Science certification by NPTEL and IIT Roorkee is for applicants who have attained 30/75 in the final test, and around 10/25 in the end assessments. Even if the candidate manages to get 40 out of 100 at the end, the candidates will not get certificates if they do not secure the above individual marks.

Evaluation process

A final examination related to the certification shall be held after the 10 modules are completed. It consists of a total of 75 marks where securing 30 is requisite. Also, apart from the exams, there are four assignments that are held. The assignments must be completed by the students securing out of 25, 10 marks.
