A chemical process plant is home to several industrial types of equipment like reactors, absorbers, distillation columns, evaporators, heat exchangers, and crystallizers, to name a few.  The Process Equipment Design certification course enables the students to understand the design features of the various equipment used in chemical process plants.

The Process Equipment Design training gives students the chance to explore the complete design processes of condensers, heat exchangers, reboilers, evaporators, crystallizers, packed columns, and distillation columns. Further, the mechanical design structure of the distillation column is also introduced to the learners. 

Spread over twelve weeks, the Process Equipment Design online course is taught by Professor Shabina Khanam, who has published 29 and 24 research papers in reputed journals and conferences respectively. She is currently working as the Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering in IIT Roorkee. Besides, Students who wish to obtain the Process Equipment Design certification must appear for the end-term proctored examination where a minimum score of 30/75 is mandatory. Evaluation process

Candidates interested in obtaining the Process Equipment Design accreditation must appear for an end-of-the-term proctored examination at the designated exam centers.
