To get admission in IIIT Hyderabad , for B.Tech admission .. there are  four channels through which you will get admission :

• JEE Main Channel

1. Should satisfy the criteria for JEE MAIN exam
2. Should have appeared and gained the required qualified marks

• DASA Channel

1. Should qualify 12th

UGEE 2022 conducted by IIITH have two sections first one is SUPR ( subject proficiency test ) and the other one is REAP ( research aptitude test ).

And here's your answer there is no negative marking in first section but there  is negative marking in the second section.

As per the official sources, IIIT Hyderabad never discloses how many students were appeared for the UGEE. However,around 400 candidates were selected for the interview round for all dual degree branches every year.
