Hey Krishna Leo,

Well i would say that you need to give first preference only to Government Universities, But you are choosing JNTUH / OU as your 4 years educational institution, These days both OU and JNTUH standards are decreasing in terms of all aspects. There are no more better standards in these universities these days. So, If you take CBIT , it is no.1 private Engineering college in telangana. It is ranked at 100 by NIRF MHRF Government of India. The educational quality is also good at CBIT. It is rated as AAAA by Careers360. The tution fee at CBIT is 2,00,000/- per annum. The tution fee at JNTUH is 12,500/- and OU is around 15,000/- per year approximately. The hostel fee at CBIT is 55,000/- per year. The hostel fee at JNTUH and OU is around 3,000/- per month. Even JNTUH and OU are also rated as AAAA but they are not that standard when compared to CBIT. The highest pay package at CBIT is around 15-20 lakhs per annum and at JNTUH and OU is around 12 lakhs . The top companies that visit all the three are: Amazon, IBM, GE Electronics, Uber, Infosys, TCS, Accenture, etc. For more   about these colleges you can check here:

Hello Mayakuntala! Let me inform you that GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is an exam which students can give after B. Tech to get jobs in PSUs and admission in different IITS and nits or different colleges for Mtech with stipend. The most important thing you should know is the total marks in gate exam is 100 marks. So there is no point you can get 407 marks be it whichever branch. Tell us your exact score so that we can help you out.

Hi Gangadhar,

Assuming that you are an open category student, your chances in getting a seat in SVU or JNTU is a little less based on your rank. However, you can try for the below colleges:

  • Pydah College of Engineering and Technology, Visakhapatnam
  • Rajeev Gandhi Memorial College of Engineering and Technology Nandyal - [RGMCET], Kurnool

Hope this helps. All the best.
