As an engineering student, the one thing that you can hopefully hope for is a good campus life. And kiit delivers on that front. The campus life at kiit is one of the most endearing aspects of the college. It rightfully boasts of a beautiful campus as long as you do not get in the way of the authorities. Amidst lush greenery and fancy footpaths, KIIT offers you evenings that you would most likely never forget.
College infrastructure here is fantastic. Classrooms are neat and clean with AC installed. The university has well maintained library, Gym, sports Centre and 5-Star Hostel. Mess food is overall better.
I am student of B.Tech(CSE) here and the quality of teaching is good and teachers here are very helpful especially the Mentors you will get in 1st year. Curriculum is based on AICTE which includes every recent developments.
KIIT provides very good placements and it has 100% placements in Computer Science branches. Around 250+ companies had their campus placement last year. Around 39 Lacs was the highest CTC given to a student here.
Money is high in this college. But once you get in this college and study hard then you will feel that your money is getting worth. Around 20 Lacs is the overall fee(depends on hostel which u take since I have taken apremium hostel)for the 4 year Bachelor degree program including everything.
Campus Life is pretty good. Climate is good in Bhubaneswar. U will get to know many students from all over the country and abroad too. KIIT Fest is a major event in this University which everyone should enjoy.
KIIT has a great stand in infrastructure. Campus is enriched with gardens. Classrooms are neat, equipped with air conditioners and projectors. Laboratories are also furnished well. Library is a large hub of textbooks for every engineering courses. Separate hostels are available for boys and girls. Sports facilities are also at hand for engaging in sports activities. Swimming pool and outhouse gym demands extra bucks. Canteen offers snacks at the campus.
Faculties are experienced and knowledgeable with their subject of expertise. Teaching quality could be improvised more. Rather than theory lessons and classes, more emphasis on practical knowledge should be focused. Exposure to industry and real-world industry problems are need to be thrown a light upon.
Placements here have been good and remains average. Most of the students are able to bag the placement opportunity till final year. Highest salary offering placement is around 12 LPA. Average package offered goes in and out 5 LPA. Some of the recruiting companies and firms are Microsoft, Accenture, Deloitte, Amazon, HP, MuSigma etc.
Course cost for the institute is a little bit on the pricy edge. Fee for the B.Tech. course of 4 years costs nearly 13 Lacs. Although fee is relatively high in this institute, facilities provided are great to work in and is looked upon in any private college in India.
Students are active in the societies established at the institute in accordance to co-curricular activities. These societies include robotics, dance, music, drama, programming/coding and entrepreneurship. There are also sports facilities such as football and cricket field, basketball and badminton court, swimming pool and gym.

the placement was very good I got a placement of 7 lacs while the average was around 3.5 lacs so it depends on the companies a lot and there are almost all the major recruiters visiting our college on a daily basis as the college is very supportive to both the recruiter and the students.
I came as a lateral entry so my fees was high according to that year which was around 2 26000 per semester and it was all worth because of the fun we had.

Our college has good infrastructure as well as it is equipped with all the facilities and the laboratories are well maintained with cleanliness in the campus as well as the living spaces with hygienic foods and smart classrooms and High speed WiFi enabled campus.
I have completed my Btech from here and the quality is fine of teaching while some teachers are very good but some lack the skill of communication but the curriculum is up to date and it includes recent developments in the field. the study does makes us job ready.
the placement quality of our department was to be said average only as most of the students were placed in IT sectors only few got placed in the core sectors jobs while the college helped us in all possible way the average salary was around 30000 per month.
we paid college tuition fees of rs 110000 which was fair for the education and it was all the worth.
the campus life was the best we enjoyed a lot, there are many activities and groups to take part in and the location is safe and can handle any emergencies easily.
college infrastructure is good and also has a very nice campus as there is complete greenery , the laboratories are well equipped and has all the necessary facilities. Library is also available which is 24/7 open for its students, the campus and hostel is very hygienic and has fast WiFi.
the academics was good as the teachers taught the basics very nicely also the course offered covers all the aspects of the engineering and makes us job ready as well and the curriculum is updated almost every year and new features are added to make the students better and smarter.
I wont say the placements are very good as majority of the core branch aspirants had very low score and for those securing placement was very difficult while those who did had an average package of 30 thousands rupees per month.
course fees was 8,80,000 while it does not included other fees like hostel mess laundry etc. but still the value was all worth of for the facilities provided.
college campus is beautiful and has lots of activities and programs going throughout the year . the campus is very safe and can handle any emergencies if arrised.

placements was good as we saw an average salary of 30 thousand per month for most of the students. around 80% students got placed , while the highest package was around 22 lacs and went to the CS or IT students of the college while in the core the highest was around 8 lacs.
course fees was around 110000 per semester making it close to 9 lacs for the entire course plus there are different fees also included. and yes I got the right education which makes it worth all the money spent.

Hello Aditya,
With a NEET UG 2025 score of approximately 280, getting a BDS seat in Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences (KIDS), KIIT University, Odisha will be a challenge. The NEET cut-off ranks for BDS in KIDS from previous years suggest that it will be very difficult. In fact, the closing rank for BDS at KIDS was 1,198,235 for general category in Round 3, NEET 2023 and 1,011,636, NEET 2022 (Both NEET scores were significantly above 280).
That said, cut-off scores based on ranks are not stable year to year based on the number of applications, seat availability or other performance observed in a particular year. However, you should still take part in the NEET counselling process and look at other private dental colleges, where the cut-off marks may be lower. Check here for more information: Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences, Bhubaneswar Cutoff 2025
HEY THERE!!
Which to Choose?
UPES is preferable if you desire better placement percentages, updated curriculum with specialisations, and greater international exposure. The highest and average packages are also slightly improved, and the university provides good industry relations and global options.
KIIT is also an excellent private university with a good reputation, good placements, and great campus life. If you like its campus culture or location, it's still a strong option.
In general, UPES has a marginal advantage in placements and industry interaction for Computer Science.
Select according to your preferences: location, charges, campus, and specializations.
Hello Pranav,
Choosing between IIPM Bangalore or KSRM, KIIT (ABM) will depend on your aspirations, budget, and needs with respect to the academics and placements.
If you want a recognized MBA in Agribusiness Management with UGC-approved degrees and you are looking for a short career path in the sectors of Agriculture, development and rural management, and you want structured academics and decent resources and growing relationships with the industry, then KSRM, KIIT (ABM) is surely the better choice. IIPM Bangalore has been known, in the past, for its aggressive marketing and popularity, but there are negative sentiments in the professional arena regarding the lack of academic credibility over the past. Furthermore, they do not offer UGC-recognized degrees, which perhaps would hinder your career or postgraduate education and career goals in government jobs.
Verdict:
If you are looking for a legitimate, recognized, and secure degree with a future in sector-specific options for careers, choose KSRM, KIIT (ABM).
