Hey!

it is a tough choice really.

both are best colleges in india.

but i would say you to choose LNMIIT because of the location and the placement based view. though IIIT bhubaneshwar is best for that college, LNMIIT has a better environment to study and get placed.

so this is my choice. please decide on your own for your future

but neither is lower or better than the other. so you just decide

Dear Applicant,

I hope you are doing well. See the cut-off for any course can be high on low. Most of the good colleges will keep a high cut-off to get the best students. Now every year the cut off can vary due to the number of students that participate. If there are many students you can expect the cut off to go higher and usually it goes high only very rare cases the cut off decreases. So if LNMIIT has told that last year it was 93% u can expect it to be above 90% somewhere along the line.

Hope this helps abit.

Hi Candidate,

You are correct regarding the 84- 85 percentile Cut-offs for ECE as per previous years which refer to about 74 marks as per previous years data and based on closing Rank.

I think that you have got a good chance of getting a seat in the college, so you must go for it.

Have a Good Day.

Yes you might get seat as determining cutoff is difficult but As of last years what I know is about the cutoff of the branches at lnmiit were-

Computer science and engineering -94(approx.)

Computer and communication engineering-95(approx.)

Electronics and communication engineering-88-93(approx.)

Mechanical engineering-74(approx.)

Cse (dual degree ) -102(approx.)

Ece (dual degree)-74(approx.)

So this year on about 92 percentile u have chances to get ece at lnmiit .

The cutoff would be around 88-93 percentile for ece.

Hi Aspirant,

Based on your rank you will get seat in following colleges:

1.Central institute of technology.

2.St.Francis institute of technology.

3.Xavier institute of engineering.

4.Guru ghasidas vishwavidyalaya.

5.Bharathi vidyapeeth college of engineering.

  2. Apply for direct admission based on  Class 12  marks
  3. Apply for admission under  DASA   scheme (NRI) students
  4. Admission to BTech programme through  lateral entry  mode

A minimum of 60 per cent aggregate is required in Class 10 to be deemed eligible for admission to BTech through lateral entry

Hey friend!

It depend on the lnmiit. As in the private colleges ; there are no specific number of seats. So you should wait and visit or call college asking about the criteria and how many seats are left.

All the best friend!

Hello,

Hope you are good.

Coming to your question, I think the choice has to be made based on what your interests are since both the fields(communication and computer engineering and mechanical engineering) are different. Doing a course that you have a passion for will help you in the long run.

Talking about the placement scenario, both the colleges have an active Placement and Training cell.

The placement statistics of  lnmiit (for batch 2020) is given below:

  • Highest Package: 63.27 LPA
  • Median Package: 10.0 LPA
  • Total Number of offers (Internships + Full Time): 517
  • Percentage of registered students placed: 92%

The placement statistics of  Punjab Engineering college (2017 - 2018 batch ) is given below:

  • Highest Package: 34.00 LPA
  • Median Package (LPA):  6.50
  • No. of Students Placed: 366
  • No. of PPOs Received: 66

Hope this help,

Great future opportunities and experience of college life.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of my college is super amazing. The college central plaza is very aesthetically designed. It have all the resources and facilities that an engineering college should have. You usually don't find such great labs in many colleges as LMN IIT have. Canteen food is also very good, fresh and hygienic. Labs also have all the modern equipments. Classrooms are also very spacious and have good seating capacity. It does have different courts for indoor games and grounds for outdoor games. It also have great separate hostels for both girls and boys.

Great college with supportive faculty and decent placements.

College Infrastructure

This college is not very well known outside Rajasthan because it is not marketed enough. The hostel life here is decent here, considering the hot weather of Jaipur there are centralized vents and air conditioning in the whole campus. Wi-Fi is available all around the campus. The campus is quite big and is scenic with trees and garden all around. The crowd here is good and are some the high rankers in JEE Mains. The coding culture here is good and the faculty is experienced and supportive. The college focuses on extra-curricular and academics equally. We have a proper sports complex here with access to most of the sports. The average placement here goes to about 14LPA which is decent. All in All this a great college for those who could not get in good govt colleges with desired branch.
