Hello Satyam

In my opinion CSE from NIT Manipur is better than any state engineering college and in all aspects it is a good choise in North East NITs.

The computer science and engineering department of NIT Manipur has an intake of 60 students of which 30 seats are for Home state students and 30 for other state students.

The placement scenario has been good and most of the students of CSE branch here get placed decently and some of them at very good packages. One student of 2018 batch got placed in BPCL with a package of 17.5 laks, one in Microsoft with a package of around 10laks,so I would saythe placements are good for CSE.

Hello,
Based on your jee mains CRL rank, you have slight less chances of getting admission in CSE branch, however you have chances of getting admission in other top branches based on your jee mains CRL rank.
Good luck.

Hello Umang,

In LNMIIT  the admission is done through LNMIIT counselling seperately, which is totally based on the marks scored in the Joint Entrance Exam. Each branch have some cutoff marks, the students above the cutoff marks will be alloted the seat. The LNMIIT offers Bachelor of Technology course in Computer Science, Communication and Computer Science, Electronics and Mechanical Engineeing only, each branch have a seperate cutoff marks.

Previous year cutoff of all branches are listed below

Branch nameClosing Rank
4-Year B.E./B.Tech. Course
Communication and Computer Engineering96
Computer Science and Engineering116
Electronics and Communication Engineering74
Mechanical Engineering74

If you have any doubts, please let me know in the comments below.

Hello Rajeev!

The previous year cutoff of LNMIIT for CSE was 116 marks in JEE. As you have stated that you secured 90000 rank which signifies approximately 80-82marks. So getting CSE branch in LNMIIT will be tougher. You can opt for CSE branch as the first priority in the counselling form(if you are lucky then you will secure a seat). And LNMIIT offers Communication and Computer Engineering , Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. You can opt for CCE and Electronics as your second option. The previous year cutoff of LNMIIT for CCE & EE was 96 marks and 74 respectively. So you will most probabliy score a seat in CCE or EE. LNMIIT also offers some scholarship for which you can apply at the time of admission. If you have scored JEE advance rank upto AIR 12000 then your academic fees will be relaxed( https://www.lnmiit.ac.in/admissions/ugadmissions/Scholarship_Policy.html ). (visit this link for improtant dates regarding admission process https://www.lnmiit.ac.in/admissions/ugadmissions/Important_Dates.html ).

Hope your question is asnwered, if you have any querry please comment below

Dear Abhay, since LNMIIT qis one of the prestigious colleges in the Jaipur, so I'm very sorry to say that with this percentile you won't be able to secure a seat in any branch in LNMIIT.The previous year cutoff of LNMIIT for CSE was 116 marks in JEE. As you have stated that you secured 72 percentile which signifies approximately 50-60 marks. So getting CSE branch in LNMIIT is not possible and other branches too have the same cutoff(i.e+-20 marks). But don't loose the hope Abhay you can try filling the REAP counselling form in which al the engineering colleges in Rajasthan are listed, in these colleges the cutoff are low as compared to LNMIIT, so will secure the seat easily.

Hello Akhilesh, No, you won't get any of the IITs, NITs, IIITs because you need to be around 30,000-40,000 rank which is around 95% percentile if you want to secure a seat in the low branches at least. IIT accept students who score about 6,000-7,000 rank which would be around 98% percentile. I would suggest you go to private universities if you can afford it.

Hello Kiran!

The previous year cutoff of LNMIIT for CSE was 116 marks in JEE. As you have stated that you secured 93 percentile which signifies approximately 98-105 marks. So getting CSE branch in LNMIIT will be based on the level of competition and some luck factor. You can opt for CSE branch as the first priority in the counselling form. And LNMIIT offers Communication and Computer Engineering , Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. You can opt for CCE as your second option. The curriculum offered for CSE and CCE is a lit bit different only(here is the link where you can compare the curriculum - https://www.lnmiit.ac.in/Academic/Undergraduate.html). LNMIIT also offers some scholarship for which you can apply at the time of admission. If you have scored JEE advance rank upto AIR 12000 then your academic fees will be relaxed(https://www.lnmiit.ac.in/admissions/ugadmissions/Scholarship_Policy.html). (visit this link for improtant dates regarding admission process https://www.lnmiit.ac.in/admissions/ugadmissions/Important_Dates.html).

Hii mohit!.they obviously differ from each other because of their format of learning the engineering would be in some specialised stream and they way they approach the pysics for ece and mechanical would be of vast difference which may go under the basis of depth and stream of learning.all the best!!

Hi Swati ! First of all lnmiit is a very good college. Through home state quota you may or may not get cs depending on your luck. But there is a high probability that you will not get cs because home quota demands much more good rank. So hope you will get it and best of luck to you.

Great future opportunities and experience of college life.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of my college is super amazing. The college central plaza is very aesthetically designed. It have all the resources and facilities that an engineering college should have. You usually don't find such great labs in many colleges as LMN IIT have. Canteen food is also very good, fresh and hygienic. Labs also have all the modern equipments. Classrooms are also very spacious and have good seating capacity. It does have different courts for indoor games and grounds for outdoor games. It also have great separate hostels for both girls and boys.

Great college with supportive faculty and decent placements.

College Infrastructure

This college is not very well known outside Rajasthan because it is not marketed enough. The hostel life here is decent here, considering the hot weather of Jaipur there are centralized vents and air conditioning in the whole campus. Wi-Fi is available all around the campus. The campus is quite big and is scenic with trees and garden all around. The crowd here is good and are some the high rankers in JEE Mains. The coding culture here is good and the faculty is experienced and supportive. The college focuses on extra-curricular and academics equally. We have a proper sports complex here with access to most of the sports. The average placement here goes to about 14LPA which is decent. All in All this a great college for those who could not get in good govt colleges with desired branch.
