Hello Sushant Torne!

Usually the cutoff for NMIMS Btech CS rank is around 1000. You can get the Cs seat through Management Quota in which you fees would increase to around 4L/year. Normal fess is around 2.7–2.8L. There is also an upgradation process in which if you get a high cgpa after 1st year you can upgrade your stream to CS. All the first year streams have the same course.

Hope this will help you!

All the best!

Hello Rita,
As you know, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) is a Deemed to be University which is located in Mumbai. University provides UG, PG and Doctoral programs in various streams such as Engineering, Management, Commerce, Law, Economics, Pharmacy, Global Education, and Architecture. NPAT BBA 2019  NMIMS University, Mumbai conducted NPAT BBA 2019 on May 11 and 12, 2019. NPAT entrance exam was conducted for admissions to various programmes like BBA and BBA-MMS.

With the score you're mentioning you'll get a rank somewhere 5200-6500. If you fall in general category then I'm afraid you won't get NMIMS as their closing rank lies somewhere near 2000. But among IPUs you have good chances in colleges like

  • Ideal Institute of Management and Technology
  • JIMS Engineering Management Technical campus, school of Law
  • Chander Prabhu Jain college of higher studies
  • Delhi Metropolitan Education society

With the score you're mentioning you'll get a rank somewhere between 2200-3000. If you fall in general category then you may have some chances in School of Law Nirma University as their closing rank lies somewhere near 3000. But I'm afraid you won't have a chance in NMIMS as their closing rank lies somewhere near 2000. But you can also check out other good private colleges like KIIT Bhubaneswar and UPES Dehradun. They have equally good academics.

Hey! Sorry you cannot apply for NMIMS anymore since the registrations have already been closed.

Hello Bhupendra,

By comparing both the colleges, results are as follows :

1. MNLU is a government college where as NMIMS is a private college

2. Number of faculty and students is more in NMIMS college whereas MNLU has very less number of faculties and students.

3. There are more extracurricular activities in NMIMS.

4. Placements of both colleges is almost similar. Also, it depends on performance of student.

5. There are more facilities in NMIMS.

Hope it helped!

Good Luck.

Hello Zarieus,

Symbiosis School of Economics started in 2002 whereas Sarla Anil Modi is a relatively new college started in 2010, due to this reason SSE is a more recognized instead than Sarla Anil Modi.

The campus and infrastructure of both the colleges is impressive and both provide Bachelor's and Master's courses in Economics.

The difference is that SSE provides specialization in various courses like Development Studies, International Trade whereas Sarla Anil Modi provides elective courses.

The placements offered by both the colleges are pretty similar because the type of companies that come are pretty much the same , however SSE might have an upper hand here due to its reputation.

So I would suggest to go with Symbiosis because the reputation and name of a college is also important for your career.

Hope this helps.
