NIT Patna All Questions

The counselling works in this way that you are alloted your college as per your rank and the college you have arranged for the counselling session. Now if you have gotten NIT Patna ECE in the first round and you are going for the second round then at the minimum you will get NIT Patna ECE again if you don't get any other college mentioned above this. It is improbable that you will get admission in any of the branches at NIT Patna, since your percentile is a little low, even after considering your category provision. We check the previous years' cut offs and since this college is an esteemed one, the closing ranks are a bit higher for this college. So, I would suggest you to look for other options, like private institutions which give admission on the basis of Mains score. I see that you belong to sc category and you have scored 80 percentile and also you are home state. 

You want to join CSE in NIT Patna. If i see the previous year closing rankings then CSE branch closed for around 3500 rank and your rank is around 5000. So I think that it won't be possible for you to get a seat in CSE branch.

Both the colleges come in top 20 NIT's of India with all the facilities provided for students.But NIT Allahabad is the older one and has good ranking as compared to NIT Patna.NIT Allahabad has great alumni spread all over the world ,with decent placement and study culture as compared to NIT Patna.But as we go branch wise then Chemical in India has less scope ,while CSE is on top with the highest packages.It depends upon your interest too,if you are passionate about then surely go for chemical Allahabad but if not sure then CSE NIT patna will be a better choice as they have also good placement in CSE .I hope it helped

With your mentioned rank it is highly unlikely for you to get into NITs. You could still apply for the josaa counselling process and try your luck. But I would suggest you to try for state level engineering colleges which accept JEE main scores. You could get good colleges and your desired branch. Hey there Aviral, it appears that a normal B Tech course in NIT Patna even after applying your Home State Quota will be tough for you.

But if you are flexible with your branch then you can surely go for 5 years Integrated MSc. Courses offered there in Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. Things often change a drastic turn in the special rounds so do participate in the counselling sessions and best of luck.
