Hi there,

Ism dhanbad mining

Two reasons for this

  1. Firstly ism is a very good college as compared with nit raipur the placements and other aspects are comparatively far better.
  2. Second there are lots of companies in jharkhand where mining engineers are required and ism students get higher posts there as mining at ism is very much in demand.

I hope this helps

Dear Aspirant,

As per the current market situations the placements in all the core branches suffers in almost every engineering college. Therefore you will not find 100% placements in the NIT Raipur however, the placements are still very good at NIT Raipur. The average package was around 4-5 LPA, with the highest package of 16 LPA for the last year. The placement percentage is about 60-70%.

You will find all the basic facilities however, there are still some infrastructural changes needed in the campus.

Hope this helps. Thank you.

Hello Pankaj,

Hope you are doing well.

When we compare NIT Jalandhar and NIT Raipur then if we consider campus infrastructure,Placement,Faculties and preference then NIT Jalandhar is better than NIT Raipur. The infrastructure of NIT Jalandhar is better than NIT Raipur. Moreover the campus placement is good in NIT Jalandhar than NIT Raipur and the faculties are also good in NIT Jalandhar. So considering the above details NIT Jalandhar is better than NIT Raipur.

I hope this will help you to take a more precised decision.

All the best for your bright future!

If you are looking for Placements post Btech, NIT Raipur Mechanical will provide you better opportunities. Companies like Tata Motors, Jindal Stainless, Hero MotoCorp are regular recruiters at NIT Raipur Mechanical and the branch has good employer outlook in Core Sectors.

In Case you are Planning to go for Masters or Research after Btech, IIEST Shibpur will be a better option. It has Excellent Faculty and Research Facilities. IIEST has an excellent track record of students moving to US and UK, as well as higher technical Institutes like IISc and IIT for Masters and Doctoral Studies and has a strong alumini base.

Hi Kunal ,

Basically you have mentioned four colleges :-

  1. Malaviya National Institute Of Technology ,Bhopal
  2. Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology , Shibpur
  3. National Institute of Technology ,Raipur
  4. National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur

If I go by NIRF ranking 2020 for architecture then IIEST is best as it secure rank 6th in the country. NIT Hamirpur secure 19th position . MNIT is also good but of Rajasthan not of Bhopal .

Other than these three colleges , rest of all not worth for your money and time.

For B.Arch you need a good exposure so choose wisely an ACTIVE college .

I hope this helps you.

Hello there,

Comparative insights of the above colleges are as follows-

  • National Institute of Technology Calicut has highest rank
  • B.Tech Mechanical Engineering in National Institute of Technology Calicut has highest cutoff through JEE Main
  • B.Tech Mechanical Engineering in National Institute of Technology Raipur has lowest fees
  • NIT calicut has a highest placement package.
