NIT Raipur All Questions

Hey Vidhi!!! Please try and get my point clearly. These two courses i.e. B.E and B. arch are totally different courses. You must be clear about what you want to pursue. Take up any of the course which you like the most. If you are good at designing, then go for B.arch and if you are interested in pure engineering, then go for B.E. College will not matter in this case as the stream or sector is totally different. 

If you want a suggestion for the best college between these two, then I will suggest you NIT Raipur, as it is a much renowned college and a college of national importance too.

First of all your jee mains rank is quite good and your obc quota puts you in advantage.And you have even your home state quota so according to me you will definitely get the college you desire.And the competition for b arch is less comparatively for engineering seats so you are again in advantage.

Hello Deepak!!! You cannot get any seat in NIT Raipur through JoSAA with your rank. However, you may get a seat in special round of counseling. CSAB conducts special round only to fill up the vacant seats left after completion of JoSAA counseling. You can try your luck at CSAB. Otherwise, it is not possible.

I would suggest you yo go for metallurgy at NIT Trichy. Like if you really look into the matter then after first year you have an option called branch sliding process, where one can slide his branch from the current one to the desired one based upon the number of vacancies in desired branch and the first year pointer that individual scores. But also to notice there's no option as college slide, which is very clear that you don't get an option to change your college next year except if you again decide to give mains. So if you want to see the place then go for Trichy but with this decision try to keep yourself motivated enough that you slide through metallurgy to ece there while if you see the branch and are not interested in risk taking business then go for NIT Raipur.

Plus I’ll add one more advice that don't go for what others say, just take their suggestions and do whatever suits you best and what keeps you happy, because at the long run what matters is your happiness and satisfaction and not what others say.

With a rank of 37,616 and category rank as 9390 you might not get NIT Raipur if you are not using a state quota. In 2018 in CSE the closing rank for general rank(with state quota) was 25196 and OBC rank(with state quota) was 12740. So you could get a CSE seat with OBC category rank and state quota. 

But without state quota the closing rank of general was around 12k and for OBC it was around 7k for CSE. So on the basis of 2018's data you can get into NIT Raipur with CS if you use your state quota and OBC rank.

Dear Aspirant, you can join NIT raipur with this rank easily and you also have st category. And I think it will be better than IIITsor for your future. The previous years campussing and faculties of that nit is very good.

You are not eligible for any NITs IIITs and GFTIs as you do not clear the basic eligibility criteria of these colleges. You have secured 62% in boards and this is below the minimum qualifying percentage set for your category. And OBC candidate needs to secure minimum of 75% in boards to be eligible for NITs, IIITs etc.
