Hii .
Your percentile is good.As you said you are interested in Metallurgy then you should take admission in this college but the thing is its placements is not so good and if placed the job environment is not so good. You can try for NIT Jamshedpur as TATA Steel visits there. So,it depends on you.

Hello Priyansh,

Since you scored 95.88 percentile in JEE mains, your overall rank would lie around 41700. Since you have a preference of state quota for NIT Raipur, based on this rank and the cutoff rank based on last few years, you might get branches like Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering.

Try to score more better than this in the April session, so you could get your desired branch.
And hope for the best.

Hope this helps you.

Helloo...

Your approximate rank will be around 74,260.

This was done by our rank predictor formula

(100-percentile)*874469/100.

For this rank you will get the seat in Nit Raipur in branches like biomedical engineering, chemical engineering and biotechnology Engineering.

You will not get mech or ece with this rank. Not to worry you will be having one more chance in April and I request you to improve your percentile so that you will be having more chances to get the seat in the branch you wish .

Hope this will help.

Hello lata

Well, it's very difficult as of now,to predict the cutoff for colleges of JEE mains and for jee advance based on percentile. You can first calculate your rank by rank=(100-percentile)*874469/100.But to be honest, you won't get IIIT hyderabad with this score,at all. With this rank, you can compare previous year's cutoff for different colleges and can predict some of the colleges you may be getting and also the advance cut off.But remember this is not the final rank.It will change based on the april session of mains. To further predict colleges visit https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor  .Hope this helps.

Good Luck

Hello Aspirant,

  Thanks for approaching Careers360 !!!

Considering you NTA percentile your probable General Rank is around 1,12,821. It may change depending on various circumstances. Now, if I tell you the previous year closing rank of NIT Raipur for home state students for mechanical engineering branch which is around 93,112. If I consider that this year also cutoffs will not deviate much then you may miss your admission in NIT Raipur. you will always have the options to get admission in some other colleges. To get more information about previous year opening and closing ranks for various colleges you can visit the following link :

Hello Ayush

Your percentile score is quite good.!

The final cutoff percentile along with the ranks will be released by NTA after the April session exam. The different NITs will also declare their admission cutoffs based on the final result (percentile+rank) by NTA.
So you will have to wait for now.
Your rank comes around 35K-36K based on the below given formula:
(100 - your percentile) * (874469/100)
Here, 874469 is the total number of students who appeared in the January session of JEE Mains.
The rank may vary with the actual one depending on the number of students appearing for the April session.
Well according to (2018) last year, the closing ranks for NIT-Raipur were 93112 (homestate) and 32479 (other state).
As per your estimated rank there are 50-50 chances for you to get admission there. Once the cutoff percentile is released- you'll get the fair idea of admission anywhere.
Hope for the best.!

Good Luck.!

hii pranjal

firstly the admission goes on JEE rank not on marks since it depends on the branch to branch last cut off while i would like to check with cut off in the below link as per home state and othere state

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-nit-raipur

regards

Hello Pranjal.

With a score of 110 ,it's difficult to get a seat in Top  NITs even from girls quota.Speaking of NIT Raipur,if it comes in your homestate, you may get one or two branch but if it's in other state quota, that too is very difficult. You may be getting few seats in the lower NITs but it's not possible for the top NITs.For further info ,visit https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor

Good Luck!
