Hey Nasim,

There is no lateral entry in IITs and NITs. Which means you have write JEE examinations even after completion of your diploma and get a good rank to get a seat in these colleges.

I got metallurgical engineering in NIT Raipur in mock allotment.Can I get Mech in the same institute in further rounds? My OBC rank 11000.

If you are a OTHER STATE candidate then it is not possible for you to get it but if you are a HOME STATE Candidate then you will surely get it but you will have to wait till 7th round.

Well firslty its tottaly depend on you that in which one you want to go. As my point of view NIT SILCHARis better than nit raipur, because campus wise look SILCHAR is more beautiful in infrastructure. Also it will provide you more placement apportunites.

B.Tech electrical at NIT Raipur is best option compared to other you have.

Study: Good faculty profile and nice course structure.

Placement: So many companies visits for placements packages varies from 12 Lac to 4 Lac per annum.

Scope: If you do well you can end with good

I got 11000 rank in OBC-NCL category in JEE main 2018.Can I get seat in NIT Raipur in mechanical engineering.My home state is AP.

You can convert any brnach at this rank under OBC NCL category at NIT Raipur viz Chemical, Biomedical, Biotechnology, Civil, Metallurgy, Mining engineering .

You can give a try for Assam University, NIT Sikkim and NIT Mizoram.

Chances look bright atabove said colleges.

College Infrastructure

NIT raipur has a spacious campus with modern classrooms , laboratories , and sports areas . Some buildings there feel older , but the overall environment is comfortable for daily student life and academic activities .

Decent at my percentile tough can improve in some areas

College Infrastructure

Decent infrastructure ,can be improve in some areas ,100 acerscampus.The infrastructure at NIT Raipur is decent and continuously improving. The academic buildings are well-maintained, classrooms are equipped with basic facilities, and laboratories are adequately furnished for practical learning. The campus is not very large compared to some newer NITs, but it provides all the essential facilities such as hostels, sports grounds, library, auditorium, and Wi-Fi connectivity. Ongoing development projects are also enhancing the overall campus environment.

Participating in this survey is a good experience

College Infrastructure

Infrastructure is not that bad but it's not enough for NIT.We don't have separate buildings for different departments all in one main building.There are insufficient hostal rooms for all the students we have only 5 boys hostel in which 4 are for 1st yrs each having capacity of 100 -150 members (2 bed,3 bed sharing) and a combined 6floors hostal it's for all the 2 to 4th year students most of the people stay out side the campus in pgs and there are few 3girls hostals I think and but now there is a new girls hostel is being constructed and they are extending the main building too so maybe it'll help to improve infrastructure of the college in other cases we have a small gym and a football ground a cricket ground basket ball court vollyball court and a sports complex which includes indoor tennis court a dispensary there are more faculty building actually then hostals and etc..
