As you have mentioned that you have got integrated max chemistry in nit Rourkela and metallurgy in nit Rourkela so I would recommend you not to join the msc chemistry and kindly go with the normal 4 year b.tech course.

To be honest, metallurgy has no scope these days. Hardly companies come to hire a true metallurgical engineer. You again anyhow have to try your hands on coding if you want to get a high package job. However I feel doing an MSc
