Well I was in your situation previous year. Let me explain it to you in a witty manner, since all three are comparable branches at one of the best NITs.
NIT Warangal Chemical
Take this if you enjoyed Chemistry and Mathematics back in school and jee days. Being located near Hyderbad and Southern Industrial Belt, you dont quite need to worry about placements. Chemical Engineering is a broad field and enables you to shift to Process Development, FMCG, Operations, Manufacturing as well as Pharmaceutical careers later in future.
NIT Trichy Metallurgy
Choose this if you want to study in the best NIT of the Country, and at the same time you liked all of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics back in school.
Material Science and Metallurgy is both the oldest and at the same time the newest branch of Engineering. There is huge scope of research and development in Material Science in future and tbh curriculum is very structured and application oriented. If you have plans of going for a Masters in US or UK later on in future, there is no better option than NIT Trichy Metallurgy. I myself am a budding Metallurgist from IIT Kharagpur ,and trust me, you would like every part of it. Metallurgical Engineering has everything from the Physics and Mechanics you learnt in School Days to the Chemical Kinetics and Thermodynamics which you studied during JEE Preparation.
NIT Trichy Production
Choose Production Engineering at NIT Trichy only if you are interested in developing a career in Non Core/Finance/IT/Analytics Sector. I think you understand what I mean. Its curriculum is quite spread out or in simple terms relaxed and includes advanced courses like Business Analytics, Six Sigma, Production Control and Operations Research. Overall the curriculum is such that, you get a lot of time to yourself to develop and practice Software and Analytical Skills in demand.
At NIT Trichy, Placements are not quite a concern, but do choose the branch which takes you into confidence. At the end, its your career, so decide wisely.

Hi Aspirant!
According to NIRF ranking NIT Trichy is at 12th place while MNNIT Allahabad is at 23rd place but the placement statistics does not vary in both the institution.According to data provided by NIRF MNNIT ranks 4th in NORTH region.Hence you are from North INDIA in my opinion you should choose MNNIT Allahabad because if you choose NIT Trichy at first you have to face a big cultural difference which takes your time to get settle and on top of that there is no big difference between them.Hence you can easily go for MNNIT ALLAHABAD.But still the choice is yours you can make your decision by watching youtube videos and consult with your parents and relatives.
I hope it helps.
Happy Hustling!
Hi Aspirant!
We all know that college is compared on the basis of many aspect and after considering it NIRF ranked out college on every aspect that make college better. And according to NIRF ranking NIT Trichy ranks 9 in INDIA while IIT Jodhpur ranks 54 after observing this you can see the massive difference.Hence NIT CSE will be better option for you in my opinion but at last the choice is yours.
Happy Hustling!
Hello ,
Honestly it depends on you and on what basis are you comparing. Both the colleges are great. There are several factors like if you want to have that IIT tag obviously go for it . IITs are a bit better in facilities as they get more funds from the government than NITs. Nit is a bit far from the main city but if you like such environment then it is a great campus. Now, most importantly the branch you are interested in and what are you offered is what matters if you get IIT then go for it .
Good luck.
Hi,
It is difficult to tell that a you get a seat or not as the cutoff marks depend on factors like category, number of student applied, ,difficulty level of exam ,seats available etc.
So the cutoff marks required for admission varies every year.
However from previous years cutoff marks/ranks you can have the idea about the chances of your admission.
As per the pprevious years cutoff of nit trichy https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-nit-trichy
It seems difficult for you to get a seat in other state qouta. However of your home state is tamil nadu than you have some chances of admission in branches like civil , mechanical, metallurgical, mechanical
To know your admission chances in different nits and other colleges through JOSSA counselling you can refer the jee main college predictor tool. The link for which is given below-

it is one of the best engineering colleges in India and it truly lives up to its reputation. The campus is huge and green. The infrastructure is quite good, with modern classrooms, well-equipped labs, and a central library that’s a paradise for book lovers and project hunters alike.
The infrastructure of college is quite good , big and well designed . The classroom is properly ventilated and has smart board for effective learning, The library has all the books of different categories and students can issue any of the books in respective time. There are many grounds for respective sports and properly maintained periodically.
