But actually NIT tiruchirappalli is one of the best top 10 engineering colleges in india. So you should have a better rank to get into this college. According to the previous year closing rank was 4k for sc. So it is is totally impossible to get into this college with this rank.

Now if you want a seat in NIT Trichy in chemical engineering branch then it is quite difficult for you to get a seat in this branch.

Cut off may varies for every year it depending upon many factors like no.of candidates applied for JEE main,no.of seats available, paper toughness, previous year cutoff trends etc.

You got good percentile in JEE mains but you didn't mentioned your home state or marks  you achieved .You may good chances for NIT it has chances for 7 rounds of counselling and 2 special counsellings cut off will be good enough for you.

Now as you belong from UP, then in NIT Trichy you cannot get electrical and electronics engineering but there is a chance that you can get mechanical engineering as per the last year cutoff trend.
But chances of getting mechanical engineering is little bit difficult.
Here are the last year cut off closing rank for NIT Trichy (other state students) belonging from OBC category in mechanical engineering and electrical and electronics engineering :-

Mechanical engineering - 2178
Electrical and electronics engineering - 1518

So, as you can see there is no chance for you to get electrical and electronics engineering and the chances of getting mechanical engineering are little difficult.
