Hello Ashish!
Only those who have experienced the life of both colleges can answer this question correctly, still we can compare them on some grounds :-
FACULTY- IIT receives huge funding, as a result the educational facilities get improvised.
CAMPUS LIFE- life at IIT BHU is quite thrilling with every day packed with surprises. Societies and clubs are quite active here with excellent sports facilities.
OUTSIDE THE CAMPUS- IIT BHU is located in the main city of Varanasi whereas NIT Trichy is 22 kms away from the city Trichy.
FEES- NITs have lower academic fees compared to IITs. But that is based on the funding from government and the amenities provided.
That was my opinion about your query, hope it gave you some clarity!
Hello Aspirant,
Actually if you didn't have more interest in chemical branch then you can't gain more knowledge during 4 years even in top 10 engineering college. If you have more interest in paticular branch like cse or ece or civil or mech then you have more interest to gain more knowledge even in normal engineering college. so choose wisely.
hope it helps you.
thank you.
Hello aspirant,
With your CRL and OBC rank, you can get into NIT Trichy with streams such as ECE, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) and Civil Engineering. You may get into all the branches of your choice except CSE. But since the data is based on previous year's cutoffs, it isn't exact because it varies every year. The availability of seats in the successive rounds of counselling also plays a big factor.

it is one of the best engineering colleges in India and it truly lives up to its reputation. The campus is huge and green. The infrastructure is quite good, with modern classrooms, well-equipped labs, and a central library that’s a paradise for book lovers and project hunters alike.
The infrastructure of college is quite good , big and well designed . The classroom is properly ventilated and has smart board for effective learning, The library has all the books of different categories and students can issue any of the books in respective time. There are many grounds for respective sports and properly maintained periodically.
It’s campus is so big that moving from one department to other requires a lot of time else you can use bicycles. The view of college is amazing. There is wifi facility along big big classrooms and labs. I don’t suggest you the mess food.
