Both are good colleges but According placements and stats 2019 NIT trichy is quite better compared to NIT Kurukshetra . Average package offered is 9 LPA for B.tech students in NIT Trichy . Whereas coming to NIT Kurukshetra average package offered is 8.24 LPA . If you want some more information about placements  go through these links .

Hello, these are good branches and Nit Trichy is toped first among all Nit of India.
Nit Trichy placement is very good.
If you are getting these branches you can go for NIT Trichy.
Nit Trichy has better infrastructure and it has produced great Engineers.
If you are interested in branch like EC, CS, IT you can also look for these branches.
But, if you work hard you can also get a good placement from Lower branches.

But actually NIT tiruchirappalli is one of the best top 10 engineering colleges in india. So you should have a better rank to get into this college. According to the previous year closing rank was 4k for sc. So it is is totally impossible to get into this college with this rank.

As you have not mentioned your category then as during that you have secured 25000 rank in general category in JEE mains 2020.

Now if you want a seat in NIT Trichy in chemical engineering branch then it is quite difficult for you to get a seat in this branch.

Here are the last year cut off closing rank for NIT Trichy chemical engineering branch for general category students :-

HOME STATE CANDIDATES :-

Male candidates - 22519
Female candidate - 26219

OTHER STATE CANDIDATES :-

Male candidates - 10643
Female candidates - 13292.

Giving  JEE Main cut off based on previous year for male SC category in NIT trichy :-

• Chemical engineering-H.s-6102,O.s-1795.
• Civil engineering-H.s-6564,O.s-1455.
• Computer engineering-H.s-1300,O.s-138.
• Electronics and communication engineering-H.s-2939,O.s-450.
• Mechanical engineering-H.s-2933,O.s-842.
• Electrical engineering-H.s-4417,O.s-890.

Cut off may varies for every year it depending upon many factors like no.of candidates applied for JEE main,no.of seats available, paper toughness, previous year cutoff trends etc.

You got good percentile in JEE mains but you didn't mentioned your home state or marks  you achieved .You may good chances for NIT it has chances for 7 rounds of counselling and 2 special counsellings cut off will be good enough for you.

First of all congratulations on securing 2316 rank in JEE mains 2020 from OBC category your rank is very good and definitely you can get NIT Trichy.
Now as you belong from UP, then in NIT Trichy you cannot get electrical and electronics engineering but there is a chance that you can get mechanical engineering as per the last year cutoff trend.
But chances of getting mechanical engineering is little bit difficult.
Here are the last year cut off closing rank for NIT Trichy (other state students) belonging from OBC category in mechanical engineering and electrical and electronics engineering :-

Mechanical engineering - 2178
Electrical and electronics engineering - 1518

So, as you can see there is no chance for you to get electrical and electronics engineering and the chances of getting mechanical engineering are little difficult.
But you can get other good branches in NIT Trichy like chemical engineering , civil engineering, instrumentation and control engineering .
