Hi Bhukya,
As per the question, I am considering that you are interested to join NIT Trichy irrespective of the branch you get.
NIT Trichy is one of the most sought after college among NITs so you could expect some good level of competition there. To be on the safer side, if you want to make it in first round of counseling then you have to score around 99 percentile.
But if your percentile is less than 99 but more than 80 entry then there still stand a chance that you might get seat during JoSSA counseling. And if you belong to any reserved category then there you may get into some good branches.
Hello
According to your percentile score, you have decent chances to get a seat in NIT Tiruchirappalli in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, etc.
You can use the JEE Main College Predictor Tool to check your college admission chances based on the percentile, category, home state

Joseph, you haven't mentioned your Category. Neverthless, the CAT cut off percentiles for General Category is 80 and for Reserved Categories it is around 75 percentile. And this is based on previous years' trends. Having said that CAT cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, n o.of Candidates qualified for the next round, difficulty of the exam and top CAT score.
With 82.26% you can be shortlisted at NIT Trichy going by the previous years' cut offs. IITs are going to be tough because IIT Madras had a cut off of 85.11% in 2019 and IIT Kharaghpur also had a cut off of 85% in 2019. With 82.26%, you miss these 2 IITs by a narrow margin. But you have pretty fair chances at NIT Trichy. Few other Colleges that you may have a shot at are IRM Anand, NIT Durgapur, NIAEM Hyderabad, IIT Dhanbad, etc. You can also check our Pathfinder to check the list of all the Colleges that you may have a shot at: https://bschool.careers360.com/pathfinder/cat

The infrastructure of college is quite good , big and well designed . The classroom is properly ventilated and has smart board for effective learning, The library has all the books of different categories and students can issue any of the books in respective time. There are many grounds for respective sports and properly maintained periodically.
It’s campus is so big that moving from one department to other requires a lot of time else you can use bicycles. The view of college is amazing. There is wifi facility along big big classrooms and labs. I don’t suggest you the mess food.
So the campus is having very beautiful greenery all around which makes the best nit of india look great. The hostels are although developed but their can be some improvements to make it advanced. I like the mess food.
