Yes , you can join Osmania University .

But there are very less admission from GATE .

If you are from cs/it then joining will be easy . But you are from ECE , but it is not difficult to get opportunity .osmania university has very good placements record for CS/IT branches .

JNTUH is far better than OU  , But it is littel bit hard to get admission with your marks . As it depends on categories.

You know the closing rank was around 1340 last year for Computer Science, 1725 for ECE and 2250 for Mech.

Now please tell me, how you can get these ranks without scoring very good marks, the one you have mentioned in the question?

Just to be in delusion i would say that you can get admission with 70 marks, can get you get? NO. Will it change cutoffs list or will it change the toppers mindset? NO. fact is fact.

Cutoffs varies form category to category. Cutoffs also changes each and every year mainly because of the difficulty level of the paper isn't same every year.

If you belong to General category then it is impossible to get Osmania University with this rank as last year the closing rank for Power System was around 4000.

But if you belong SC/ST category then you can easily get a top notch stream like System or Power Electronics in Osmania University.

The eligibility criteria requires a candidate to have passed in the two-year Intermediate Examination or +2 Examination recognized as equivalent thereto and with an aggregate of 40%marks (pass percentage for SC &ST candidates) in the concerned Science subjects viz Physical Sciences & Mathematics group OR Physical Sciences & Biological Sciences, as the case may be for admission in to B.Sc course in Osmania University.

In terms of rating and ranking JNTUH, Hyderabad is on the forward position, all the facilities are provided by both the Universities but gym facility is not given in osmania University, JNTHU is having good faculty ratio than osmania University and student feedbacks of JNTHU are much better than osmania University not only for placement but also for campus life too, so overall JNTHU is better option for B.Tech Chemical engineering.

It means that in 2019 no candidate belonging to female BC-C category were allotted a seat. It might be because of number of reasons such as no candidate have opted the seat in Osmania University or candidates who opted didn't have required rank or merit. But if you see the cut off trend for BC category you need to secure rank below 50 to have decent chances of getting seat.

I think you should write both of the exams to increase the chances for admission in msc course.

you may also apply for IITJAM exam , which is the entrance exam to admission in top iits, nits in msc course.
