Most professors are highly qualified and very supportive when it comes to solving doubts or guiding research. The academic workload is heavy. They have a strict 75% attendance policy, frequent exams, and tough grading.
College Infra
The central library is huge and stocked with books. Wi-Fi is generally good across campus, though students often complain that the hostel Wi-Fi can be slow and unreliable. There are decent sports facilities (cricket ground, basketball courts, gym) and multiple cafeterias serving clean, hygienic food.
Placements
The median salary for a 4-year B.Tech graduate sits comfortably around ₹12 LPA, while the highest packages frequently touch ₹60 LPA to ₹68 LPA from global tech giants.However, if you are in core branches like Mechanical or Civil Engineering, companies still visit (like Bosch or L&T), but the average packages drop significantly to around ₹5 LPA to ₹8 LPA.

I am studying B.Tech Mechanical Engineering because I am interested in machines, automobile technology, manufacturing, design and core engineering concepts. The quality of teaching at PES University, Bangalore is good. Most faculty members are supportive and explain the concepts clearly during lectures, practical sessions and assignments.
The curriculum is mostly updated and covers important subjects like engineering mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, machine design, manufacturing processes, CAD/CAM and other core mechanical topics. Labs, workshops, projects and assignments help students gain practical knowledge. The course gives a good foundation, but students should also focus on internships, software skills, industrial training and practical projects to become fully job-ready.
College Infra
Yes, PES University, Bangalore has the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment required for students. The campus is clean, modern and well maintained. For B.Tech Mechanical Engineering students, the university provides classrooms, mechanical labs, workshops, library, internet facilities and other academic resources for practical learning.
The labs and workshop facilities help students understand concepts related to machines, manufacturing, design and core engineering. The campus also has hostel facilities, cafeteria, sports facilities and student activity areas. The quality of placements at PES University, Bangalore is good overall, but for B.Tech Mechanical Engineering students, placements are decent compared to computer science branches. The university has a placement cell that supports students with training, aptitude preparation, interviews, internships and career guidance.
A good number of students get placement opportunities, but the percentage may vary according to branch, skills and company requirements. Mechanical students can get opportunities in core engineering, manufacturing, design, automobile, analytics and technical roles. Value For Money
My course cost was around ₹4.5 lakh per year, excluding hostel, mess and other personal expenses. I feel PES University, Bangalore provides decent value for money because the university offers good infrastructure, classrooms, mechanical labs, workshops, library, hostel, cafeteria, sports facilities and placement support.
For B.Tech Mechanical Engineering, students get practical learning through labs, workshops, assignments and projects. The fee is a little high, especially for a core engineering branch, but the learning environment, campus facilities and exposure make it worth it for students who actively focus on internships, CAD/CAM software, industrial training and skill development. Overall, it provides decent value for money.
