Dear Candidate,
Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology Surat , is a public technical university located in Surat, India. This college offers a wide range of courses . Mechanical is a good branch here. The total fees for Mechanical branch is around 5.47 lakhs for the whole course. Placements for mechanical are good here. About 141 students out of 205 students got placed for the batch 2017-18. The highest package offered - 19 LPA, the lowest package offered - 3.25 and the average package - 6.09 LPA. Companies like HPCL, BPCL Vedanta, Reliance, L&T, Suzuki Motors, Honda, TATA Motors, John Deere, Pidilite, etc visit the campus for hiring.
Hope this helps.
Hi,
As per student reviews, the placement is not very good. This is due to the fact that most of the studets prefer research compared to doing a job.
In 2019, around 60% of the students got placed in top recruiting companies like Buyju's, Aakash, etc. as teachers with the highest salary package of about 6 LPA, and the average salary package of 5 LPA.

Hope this helps!
Hey,
The NIT surat offers a five year Integrated MSC course in chemistry to students meeting the cut off. The Chemistry branch is clearly a science oriented branch that teaches you pure science in the respective field.
The placement is not that excellent in the respective college. You may get placed in some teaching jobs. Or you can try for some research work if you want.
Whether to take it or not should completely be your decision based on your interest in the respective field.
Hope that helps.
Thank you
Hi there,
SVNIT does not enjoy a great computer engineering reputation, but the placements are good with companies like Samsung visiting each year and microsoft and apple occasionally. DAIICT also has a great reputation but remember the ICT course isn't a pure computer science course. So it will depend on your interest.
Just for the record (Being to both the campuses) infrastructure wise DAIICT is better but SVNIT is getting there with lots of renovation done in last two year. Professors wise DAIICT has a good professor base compared to computer science department of SVNIT. Location wise SVNIT is in upper hand as it is in the heart of the city. Placement wise the scenario is slightly better in SVNIT. Considering these factors please take the informed decision and the best advice will be given by the current seniors so contact them.

Hello,
If your family income is less than 1.00 lac per annum then you will get full remission of the tuition fee, means that you won't have to pay any tuition fee per semester.
During admission you have to pay around Rs.20000 and from the next semesters you have to pay maximum Rs.3000.
So, in every semester you will get the remission of Rs. 62500
Hope this helps you!
Good luck!

Hello,
Considering the cut off in CSAB Special round 1 in 2019 you do not have chances of getting seat in IIIT, Dharwad and SVNIT, Surat. The cut off was as follows
IIIT, Dharwad
NIT, Surat
Cut off changes every year depending on number of candidates qualified, difficulty of exam and number of seats available etc. You may have to seek admission in any other college or if you wish to join in IIIT or NIT you have to prepare for JEE main 2021 if you are eligible.
You can use our JEE main college predictor to know the colleges you may get seat in https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer
Hello aspirant,
I think it would be better if you put a backup option in gujarat .
It is because cutoffs tend to change every year based on various factors and this year it might increase or decrease
So it is better to have a backup option and after you get a seat in svnit you can go for it.
Hope this helps you
All the best!
The college has a nice green campus with plenty of space the classrooms are okay but some of equipment is owned the library is great and has a lot of books and very good environment wifi is very stronger and very good the infrastructure is really valid.
The infrastructure is quite good. The department has three different buildings, and all the labs required for the course, such as fluid dynamic labs, hydraulic lab , som lab , structure lab, EM lab and transporation lab.
