Our college have all the necessary infrastructure facilities and equipment. We have all the facilities in classrooms like smart class and ac.The space is also very big and have laboratories libraries sports space
All the teachers are very good and friendly they have well equipped knowledge. All the curriculum are updated and includes all the recent developments in all the necessary fields. We have the placement training center to make job ready
We have placement training centre which make the students placement ready for jobs .about 95 percent of the students are placed with all the jobs with highest salary package. The placement process easy and pleasant.
The college has good infrastructure but the equipments aren't as much required. The computer labs are small in size but other labs are good. In some classrooms there is smart boards . The classrooms aren't well maintained. There's a huge e-learning centre named as Biju Patnaik e-learning centre. And near this there's a field . There's also a canteen in the college. Next comes to hostels, hostels are with good WiFi networks and food stores but food and cleanliness not upto the mark.
I am studying computer science and Engineering because i have intrest in software development field and i like to code. Quality of teaching is not satisfying. Our curriculum is updated in 2019 still it feels like we are following the same 32 years old curriculum ..not introducing latest languages in market. No , It doesn't make us job ready we have to study on our own to achieve that job ready tag.
Quality of the placement are not that good but it is manageable. 70% students were placed last year and the highest salary package was 16lakh for a girl who belongs to CSE branch. Average placement package is 7-8 lakhs. Placement Process are not that easy but somehow it's managed well by the placement cell of our college. No our clg adminstration is not that much supportive.
For normal course it takes approx. 2 lakhs for four years and for ssc course it takes twice. As per normal course fee it's satisfied but for ssc Students , their fees is very high.
Campus life is awesome. There are so many clubs : technical, dancing, singing etc and fests students can join. Everyone is supportive. The college is situated near mahanadi river , you can enjoy it's beauty . Near the college there's Bhimsar medical College which can handle any emergencies.
The selection is based on the JEE and OJEE ranks. There's good and bad in everything , so if you want to join you can . You gonna have a good life here . All the best
Our college has great ambience and infrastructure has improved in the years. That has created great atmosphere for student to look forward to going college everyday. My favourite is the library withoads of books
Academic is really very good with great emphasis given on practicals. Hence students achieve good experience in all departments. The time table could be adjusted better. Overall the academics is real good.
Placement is at par with expectations. Placement cell is very active.. placement coordinator s are very friendly. The placement season is taken with great seriousness and emphasis given to mke sure most of the students are placed.
Totally a value for money experience. The returnin investment is real good
Campus life is average .. emphasis given to prevent ragging. Canteen us not well maintained, that can be improved. And sports arena us not that good.. ssc is good though which is help for the clubs all.
Great college tobe at. My 4 years in college were the best years of my life and given a chance I would visit it again. I woul recommend my college to all odia studdnts. It's a great college to be at.period.
In whole college there will be so many washrooms, but just one or two have water supply, rest just stink cause everyone uses them and no water . Library is very big with nice facilities , but half of the buildings are old, and smart boards are just used for presentations.
I am studying Production Engg just because i had nowhere else to go to , and didnt get enough grades to change my branch into cs. The curriculum is outdated , we learn stuff that is 30-40 years old and nowhere be helping in real life .
Most of us have to rely on mass recruiters, theres very less for the cores. Like 2-3 from.each branch. And minor branch students have to seek their way out , highest package is of Credit Suisse which gives something like 12 LPA , but average for placements is 3.5 L.
Its a government college , what else do u expect ?!
Beautiful infrastructure. Campus is filled with greenery. Our classrooms are very spacious and all modern technology are included. Our infrastructure is mixture of utkal architecture and modern architecture. Huge auditorium and library is there. Cafeteria is very good, fresh food is provided. Hostel facility is also available.
Academics is going very smoothly. During offline classes, We enjoyed a lot as our teachers are very nice and friendly. Our department curriculum is updated within specif time period. So all recent development are included.
Now, the placement of college is really appreciable. Nearly 45-60% of students get their desired placement every year. Many industrial firms, companies approach our college in final year and the college is supportive through out the process.
Yes, the annual fee is as per requirement, not too much. So I feel it's worth my money. We really get many opportunities to explore ourselves in this college.
I love my campus. I feel so safe and secure. It definitely give me homely feeling. Our campus is very very beautiful. The college is always active in handling emergency situation. Eagerly waiting for the college to open.
VSSUT, Burla is one of the oldest Engineering colleges of India. Therefore, it containes well furnished laboratory equipments. Recently, the classroom complex is renovated. It contains enough classrooms. Its library is one of the best libraries of Odisha. Though it contains a number of hostels with appropriate facilities, the older hostels need to be cleaned.
Though it contains a number of highly qualified faculties (Having PhD from IITs, NITs), the quality of teaching is ok. Even though Its course curriculum is one of the best in Odisha, it can be improved further.
A number of companies visit the campus throughout the year, particularly for the B Tech students. Almost all the eligible students get placement in any of the companies. However, the placements for the MTech students is lower than the BTech students even though many companies visit.
Since it is a Government Engineering University, the Course cost is very less for the MTech students when compared with other better colleges which is much lesser than well known IITs and NITs.
Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology , Burla , as name suggests.. , one of the best college for technical education has the best required infrastructure and now also its developing day by day...
VSSUT is known for its education quality .. The academic section is quite good and the education environment is very much impressive and the teacher-student Bonding is very good and having a nice relationship .
In placements also our college is at a prestigious position. There is a impressive placement ratio of the college . Being the first engineering college of the area its stand as a very good college for the technical students.
Its very much value for money . For economically weak student also there are facilities to promote education for all . The regular fee is also quite low and affordable.. Its very good in all espects..
The campus life is very much good and here we experienced very nice friendly and competitive environment , here all the students get oppertunity to enhance there capabilities and abilities and gain knowledge.
College infrastructure is good. We get various facilities here like WiFi, classroom with smart boards. All the laboratories are well equipped with equipments and accessories. Living spaces are cleaned regularly and hence hygienic. I like the infra very much.
ALL the Faculties are Phd holder but only some faculties are good at teaching others only do their job and go. The course is updated according to curriculum and their main focus is only on studies. We get opportunities to learn and get job ready.
The placements are fair, on an average 60-70% get placed with average salary package of Rs 3 lakh which is not so good. The college support only good student mostly at their work. We get not so much support for our dream companies..
We pay approx 2 lakhs rs for education and hostel per year. The college not satisfy are needs of all facilities even the food we get is not so much healthy. Their is very strictness in each and every field. I not get my money's worth fully.
Campus Life is good, we interact with new students and our campus is ragging free. We have an opportunity to work with our seniors as well. Not all the Faculties are supportive but some faculties and staff is very supportive. Location is good
Yes all necessary infra. Facilities and equipment also.. Class are renewable these days.. Smart TV smart board are there.. Wifi connection also. Well maintained .. Yes clean and hygienic also. Hostel are at very good condition. Also and well maintained
I am a chemical engineering student here.. Quality of teaching is outstanding..obviously teacher are from various iits and nits...curriculum update now a days.. As various renovation. Are made these days m. To make smart class.. Yes this field make mee job ready and I am much confidennt not over.
Quality of placement is outstanding. With higher package. Percent about above 7cgpa is required. About 80 percent students were placed. Highest salary as per my knowledge it is 16 lpa. And he is from chemical engineering. Average salary is of 8 lacs per annum. Yes process is easy and pleasantable. And college also supportive.
Cost about 34k per year academics and 28k for hostel accommodation .. Yes as a govt Institute for the best infra.. It is value for money
Yes. College campus is outstanding. A gym also their library, e learning center r etc.. Students are in different club like dance art etc. Student teacher are best.. Location is in the burla town. Which is safe.. And as a medical college here at only 3km far... It can handle emergency also
Best College in odisha after Nit rkl and iit bbsr... Hope u guys visit and enjoy the academics
Yes, college have all the necessary infrastructure, providing all the facilities and equipments in laboratories are up to the mark. In classrooms we have smart class installed, whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled.
I am pursuing Bachelors in Technology in Chemical Engineering, the quality of teaching is good and many a times faculties goes out of the book to make students understand. Our curriculum is regularly updated.
Placements quality have been average in our college, around 25-30 percent students are placed every year. Highest package goes around 14-15 LPA but average package scenario is not so good. We expect more placements seeing the potential of our batchmates.
Hello aspirant,
With an SC position that is essentially 11, you are in an excellent position for MCA admission through OJEE. For VSSUT Burla, closing ranks in 2024 for general category were around 120 and under 200—for SC, likely even higher priority and thus more accessible. So your rank of 11 is more than enough to secure a seat there. For OUAT Bhubaneswar, the closing rank for general MCA was about 1000, so you’re also comfortably eligible for admission.
In short, with your rank, you should have no issues getting an MCA seat at both VSSUT Burla and OUAT Bhubaneswar under the state quota. Ensure you complete your OJEE counselling registration, list both institutes as priorities, and participate actively in the choice-filling rounds.
HELLO,
Yes , with an overall OJEE rank of 158 and a branch (CSE) rank of 48 you are in a strong position for admission into reputable M.TECH Computer Science programs Via OJEE.
M.TECH via OJEE:- For M.tech CSE seats Filled through OJEE the general category rank is around -1500 with opening ranks around 130 And your overall rank 158 is well within that range.
You can explore Top engineering colleges in INDIA- https://engineering.careers360.com/colleges/list-of-engineering-colleges-in-india?page=6&sort_by=4
VSSUT Burla - Fills most M.TECH seats primarily via GATE but there are some non GATE vacancies allocated during OJEE counselling.
You can check previous year cutoffs for getting idea for admissions but your rank will be within or above the cutoff range .
Other Top colleges With OJEE Rank you can explore https://engineering.careers360.com/download/ebooks/top-50-btech-colleges-in-odisha
Your rank will considered good for securing admission in other top colleges also for CSE program that considers OJEE rank .
Hope that Helps!
Asmita, based on your 89k rank in the EWS category, I can tell you that you have a good chance of getting a seat in VSSUT.
After analyzing the cutoff ranks and eligibility criteria, I can confirm that you will get a seat in VSSUT. However, the branch allocation might be a challenge.
You might not get Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) due to the high demand and relatively low cutoff rank for this branch. However, you can expect to get a seat in one of the following branches:
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
- Information Technology
Keep in mind that the final branch allocation will depend on the institute's policies and the number of applicants. But overall, you can be assured that you will get a seat in VSSUT. Congratulations, Asmita!
