Hello Dear,
It is very difficult to predict the college but according to you, you got 75.74 percentile in JEE Mains then your rank would be around 248180 - 278990 and you do not mention your category. So I am assuming that you belong to general category and also you do not mention your state region. There is no chance to get admission to VIT Vellore.

Best of luck :)
Hi aspirant,
As you have mentioned that the fee is not a point of concern, I don't think changing college would be a great idea unless you get hefty return of investments. As you had stated earlier that a third category seat is worth joining or not at VIT, Vellore in comparison to top colleges of COMEDK so if we consider the top three colleges, you could definitely have a go for them. These are better or above par in comparison to VIT in terms of faculties, higher packages and ROI.
Note- You will need a rank below 4k in COMEDK ug to be eligible for CSE in the mentioned colleges.
Hope it helps!!
Hi aspirant,
I think you might be getting negative reviews of Vellore institute of technology, AP in context to its placements and still growing infrastructure. The institution was established in 2017 and it's first batch passed out this year only with placement records around 80 per cent for the core branches. See it is nothing when compared to the Vellore/Chennai campus but is expected to grow exponentially in the upcoming years. I don't think you will face any problems regarding opportunities and placements but yes the average packages would not be that high. I will suggest you to change it only when you get a seat in higher tier 1 or 2 colleges.
As per the guidelines of the college, you can not go outside for first three months but later you can.
Hope it helps!!
Hello ,
Any day VIT Vellore is a better option , they offer a lot of placements for all of their courses , from second year you can start your internships as well.
In Amrita the 5 year Data science programme was just started 3 years back and I don't think they have proper facilities or requirements that is needed for an integrated course.
However in VIT Vellore try applying for BTech programmes and then do your masters in IIM or Abroad. Integrated students will not get as many companies as CSE and IT students , if you join the clubs in VIT you have a fair chance of getting placements . So lastly comparing both the colleges , VIT Vellore comes out as a better option
Thank you
Hi
Before we compare the two colleges we must look into some key factors which are important for students to know before their admission. To begin with both the colleges are great for btech and over the years both have come up as one of the top colleges for btech
Vellore institute of Technology, vellore: established in year 1984 it is a deemed to be university offering a total of 71 courses. With good faculty and excellent infrastructure the institution is UGC, AICTE approved with NAAC accreditation of grade 'A'. They provide excellent placements to companies like cognizant, TCS, accenture, infosys, intel, pwc, wipro, deloitte, Microsoft and more with highest package offered is of 41.60 lakhs and median salary of 5.50 lakhs. The college accepts admission through viteee and requires 60% in 12 th standard
Manipal University Jaipur: established in year 2011 it is a private institution offering a total of 82 courses. They have excellent infrastructure and faculty and are also approved by UGC , AICTE. The placement from this college is not as high as vit but provides good placement to companies like dell, Microsoft, goldman sachs, capgemini, accenture, TCS and more. The highest package offered is 42.00 lakhs and on an average 4.05 lakh is the salary. Admission is through MET and requires 50% in the 12th standard exam.
Hope this helps
Hi,
First of all a big congratulations to you and your brother for securing such wonderful marks.
Now, coming back to your question, VIT offers integrated M.Tech courses for 3 Categories (Category 1, 2 and 3) all of which has different fee structures. Admission to these categories are based on your marks i.e. top scoring students get Category 1, then Category 2 and finally Category 3.
Going by your marks there is a very high possibility that both of you end up in your desired stream (M.Tech Software Engineering) in Category 1, although nothing can be guaranteed at this stage.
But the chances are really very high.
Wish you all the best :)
Hi aspirant,
I will suggest you to keep preparing and hustling for the COMEDK examination. No doubt Vellore institute of technology is a good college, but you would not be getting that sort of returns when you are placed in third category and will have to pay around 4lacs per annum. The level of COMEDK is easy to moderate and if you have your basics covered, it is not that difficult to make into the top colleges. Python is not a very difficult language to learn and will hardly take 3-4 months in your first semester, moreover it will be taught to you from the foundation when the classes start at VIT.
PS- If money is not a big issue, start preparing for your first semester as most of the top college under COMEDK have a similar fee ranging between 3-3.5lacs.
Hope it helps!!
Hi aspirant,
It is quite subjective question and my opinion will not matter if it not matches with your interest. CSE and ME are entirely different with CSE comprises scientific and engineering aspects of computing and designing automated machine systems and intelligent bots while in mechanical engineering will teach you to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems. Now if doesn't matters and college is the only aspect you should go with Vit, AP considering both are not the main campus of their respective franchises. Vellore institute of technology has a higher ranking, better faculties and reputation in the educational world. Hi aspirant,
At first congratulations on new journey at Vellore Institute of technology. As per the released guideline of the institution, the classes for freshers batch which were supposed to commence from 2nd August has been postponed to 6th September due to uncertain conditions created in this pandemic. The class details and other credentials will be shared on your registered email 2-3 days prior to the mentioned date. You would have received a mail from the institution regarding the same.
Hope it helps!!
