When you have to compare two colleges and have to arrive at a conclusion then you have to choose some of the parameters. This parameters can be a distinct number of events but to conclude this answer I am choosing some of the most important parameters like:

The two university you have mentioned, surely VIT is more preferable. VIT have a very well organized curriculum such that the curriculum provides adequate skills to work in industry as well as to pursue academia. Also the faculties are very well experienced and are active in research. VIT offers a very good rate of placement about 91%. Thus if you want to admit your daughter then I would say its better to go for VIT BHOPAL. VIT Bhopal have very good infrastructure which is really  good fact for science students.

If you are concerned about the location in which your daughter studies then if you think you want to let your daughter study in your place then you can go for SRMU. But if you want to get the best facilities then VIT will be the answer.

Vellore institute of technology (VIT), Bhopal is an UGC approved, NAAC Accredited college with grade A. VIT, Bhopal also holds it's name on the Limca book of records for ensuring campus placement to the largest number of students in IT sector for seven consecutive years. The highest package offered for the previous year for the branch of computer science engineering was 40 LPA. The average package was 4-5 LPA.

KIIT school of Engineering, Bhubaneswar is a NAAC Accredited college with grade A. They offer 66 engineering based courses. The highest salary package offered was 29 LPA and average package offered was 4 LPA

The Bhopal and Amravati campuses of Vellore institute of technology are the sister branches of main campus and have been established in recent years. Due to low demand among the students, the cutoffs go till very high and adding to it the large number of seats in category four, five. It is certainly impossible to get seats in lower category considering such high ranks.

Your VITEEE score is very high. It is difficult to get good branches based on previous year's cut-offs. You might not have chances of getting seat in VIT Vellore Campus and VIT Chennai Campus in any of the branches under Category 1 to 3. But in category 4 or 5 you can try and chances are very less to get good branches in any of the VIT Campuses. You might have little bit chance of getting seat in VIT Bhopal or VIT Andhra Pradesh in category 4 or 5 but might not got good branches. Cut-offs varies from year to year and depends on many factors like number of students appeared in the exam, number of seats available, category, difficulty level of the exam etc.

The VIT Colleges are all good and all has a very great academic excellence but especially talking about Vellore and Chennai than this both campus are considered as top choices of the students due to there huge popularity and vellore is considered number 1 Campus and Chennai comes on second position. So as you have mentioned your rank it’s a decent one but as i said earlier that this campus are quite famous due to which competition increases automatically and hence the rank required should be very high but you can try for the different branches and if you fall in the cutoff category of any branch than surely you will going to get admission.

Firstly, I would like to congratulate you on successful completion of your VITEEE exam. The cut-off trends keeps changing every year and it depends on the number of students attempting the exam, difficulty level, number of available seats, etc. With a rank near to 58,000, it's difficult to get Civil Enginnering seat in Vellore or Chennai campus in any fee category as the cutoff for Vellore campus Civil was 35,000 in the year 2016. You can try applying for Civil seat at their  Amravati (AP) and Bhopal campuses in first fee category itself as these are recently established.

I am sorry to inform you that there is no chance for change in branch once provisional allotment is done. As per the guidelines of Vellore institute of technology no request for change in branch, campus or category shall be entertained.

However students who were not allotted any seats during the counseling can re appear in the subsequent phase.

See VIT Amaravati and SRM TRP are of no doubt that they are both good in terms of infrastructure. Thus when you consider the infrastructure then approximately both are very well developed. Now when it comes to curriculum, you will get to know that VIT has better curriculum than SRM in terms of Practicality, organized and industrially relevant curriculum. In case of placement also VIT is ahead of SRM with around 91% placement rate with average packages of Rs. 5-7LPA.

Thus considering this two parameters I would say VIT will be better. Also the faculties of VIT are more into research, which is a great thing because the updated knowledge is always preferable in case of any science subjects.

As from my experience, There should be no problems for you as the cutoffs go very high in the biotechnology branch due to lower demands and lesser number of candidates from biology domicile.
