Faculities are also very highly qualified, moreover Placement scenario is also very awesome, average package goes around 7.2 lakhs and highest went upto 40 lakhs, almost 90percent students get placed every year

As such the branch is good, and so is the faculty and research facilities, however the placements are bleak in Core Companies. There are very few Mechanical Engineering Companies recruiting from VIT Vellore Campus except few, however the Placements are strong and most students get placed with Marketing, Software, Analytics and Other Non Core Sector Companies.
Incase you get seriously interested with Mechanical Branch, I would suggest you to pursue GATE in future, followed by M.Tech from some of the Top Higher Technical Institutes in India like Top IITs, IISc Bangalore and so on.
Dear aspirant,
To be honest I think pes University cse branch would be a far better option than vit vellore cse. In these private colleges the college name doesn't matter. If you have the required skills then definitely the company will hire you irrespective of your college name.
Now coming to the next part of your question, if I had consider the ROI factor pessat will beat vit vellore in this because in category 3 the cost of a BTech programme would be somewhat around 22-23L .

Yes, ideally there is no restriction by any of these companies for any of the CSE Specialization and are allowed to sit along with IT, CSE as well as ECE Students.
Secondly, Information Security is a subject attaining wide importance today. Data Security, Cyber Vigilance, Ethical Hacking, Big Data and Information Science are effective fields of interests.

With a Rank of 30000 in VITEEE, you have literally no chances of securing CSE at VIT Vellore atleast in the first 2-3 Categories. You might still have extremely low chances of IT or luckily maybe some empty seat at some of the CSE Specializations by Category 4 or 5. But you might just have to pay an extravagant tuition fee for the Course if you select a seat in Category 4 or 5. I would suggest you try securing CSE or IT at Chennai at Earlier Rounds of Counselling or maybe ECE or EEE at Vellore at earlier Categories of Counselling.

VIT-AP is a great place to study in terms of infrastructure curriculum and faculties. The placements are also great. As per the official website, the VIT-AP has done two LIMCA recording for the placements of the students. There are no percentage provided in the official website but as per the information available online, the alleged percentage is around 86% which is not bad. Thus I would say if you get a chance there then you can definitely pursue the course without any doubt.
In 2019-20 the highest offer was made by Microsoft of Rs. 41.6 LPA.
The companies visiting for campus placement are:
Intel, Ebay, Amazon, Dell, GE, Texas Instruments, Schneider Electric, DE Shaw & Co, Hitachi, HP, PayPal, Tata Motors, L&T, Dr. Reddy’s, Bosch, Deloitte, Morgan Stanley, Qualcomm, Ashok Leyland, Honda, Ford, Global Analytics, TCS, Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro and Infosys.

Hi aspirant,
There are healthy chances of you getting a seat at main campus of Vellore institute of technology but it will be subjected to higher fee categories. There may be some courses such as aerospace engineering, chemical engineering where you can get a seat till second category. You can check out the past year cutoffs for VIT, Vellore at https://www.google.com/amp/s/engineering.careers360.com/articles/viteee-cutoff/amp

Greetings of the day Disha
VIT University offers 5 fee categories for the admission into their academic courses. When it comes to fee categories, they are only for the admission into a particular branch and it is decided based upon your marks in their VITEEE exam. But, once you get into any branch, there is no partiality between category 1 student and category 5 student. Both study in a same class and under same faculty. Every student receives equal academic and co-curricular inputs from the college side. They follow One Entry and One Exit where students enter the university through VITEEE Examination and leave the university with a centralized placement system. When it comes to placement opportunities, everyone and every campus has equal weightage. There is no special treatment for category 5 students as such. Even Hostel Fees are the same for both. Fees differ only in Tution fees.
I hope I have cleared your doubt!!
All the best for your future career
Dear aspirant,
As you have mentioned that you have got it in category 5 at vit so let me tell you to be honest the cost in course of 4 years of BTech would be around 26-28L so to be honest BTech in this cost and that too from a private college is not at all feasible for future.
Therefore I suggest you to look for more options which has good return on investment and you would gain something after 4 years.
I would request you to please mention in the comment box your vit rank so that I can help you with the best option available.
