There is no way that you can now fill the form of choice filling in phase 2 counselling of Vellore institute of technology. The seat allotment process has started and the results for it would be announced tomorrow at 10:00 a.m

However you will be allowed to participate in phase 3 counselling as no seats have been allotted to your name.

At first congratulations for your success in VITEEE. With the mention rank you must have participated in in phase 1 counselling, but if you were not alloted any seats you can expect one during the phase 2. You will be only able to an ECE secure seat in second or most probably in third category as all seats in first category and most of the seats in category 2 have been already occupied.

Yes, I believe with a Rank of 10k, youll secure ECE at VIT Vellorr in Phase 2 Counselling, however you might have to opt for Category 2 Seats, and you may have low chances for Category 1. At Category 2 I believe you even have fair chances to secure CSE Specialization at VIT Vellore.

As you have mentioned about the vit cse category 1 cut off, so let me tell you that vit doesnt even release its cut offs so one cannot say anything about its category wise cut offs.

Last cut off released by it officially was around 4-5 years ago. So as per my knowledge the cut off generally stays between 5k rank. Upto this rank the seats are generally filled .

There are many colleges which offers lateral entry in india but I don't think it is offered in vit vellore. Vit vellore takes admission for full four year course for BTech degree.

SRM University does offer lateral entry to its campus so you can take up there . I would suggest you that kindly choose wisely which college which branch you would prefer because it will play a vital role in your future.

Cutoff marks and rank are vary from year to year and this year it is in the running process so we can't tell you the exact data for this year but according to previous year you can estimate your place.

If you try to come under the rank of 10K in VITEEE entrance exam then their is a very high chance that you will get CSE and for IT come under the rank of 15K for the safe side. Actually it s hard to estimate the cutoff by marks because VIT have never disclosed the marks they only show you the rank and if you are coming under that rank then definitely you can get CSE at main campus.

You can try applying for ECE seat at their Chennai campus in last two categories as the cut-off for ECE was 33,000 in the year 2015 and 25,000 in 2016. Whereas, you can secure a CS, ECE or any other seat in their Amravati (AP) and Bhopal campuses in first fee category itself as these are recently established.
