HEY THERE!!!
You may expect to receive admission in B.Tech Aerospace Engineering at VIT Bhopal with a VITEEE rank ranging from 8,000 to 12,000. Candidates up to about 12,000 ranks have mostly found seats in this stream in recent years. If your rank falls in this bracket, your prospects are good, even though cutoffs may change very marginally every year based on demand and availability of seats.
Hii,
VIT Vellore is a good college for B.Tech. Your son can apply through VITEEE (VIT entrance exam). The college has good teachers, big campus, and many companies come for jobs. The hostel and food are also nice. It’s a safe and smart choice for engineering. Just prepare well for the exam and apply on time.
VITEEE 2025, the entrance test for B.Tech admissions at VIT Vellore, took place from April 20 to April 27, 2025. The application deadline has been extended to April 7, 2025. The results were revealed on May 3, 2025. Counseling for qualifying candidates is currently underway.
Hello Pari,
with a VITEEE rank of 55,000, you have a good chance of getting VIT-AP or VIT Bhopal in lower-demand branches like ECE, Mechanical, or Biotechnology. admission is likely under the category 2 or 3 fee structure. higher demand branches like CSE may need category 4 or might not be available. https://www.careers360.com/college-predictor
Hii,
VIT counselling usually happens in 4 phases . Each phase is based on the rank you got in the VITEEE exam. Higher rank students are called first.
You choose your campus and course during your phase. If seats are full in one phase, you can try in the next phase. It's all done online step-by-step, and you get clear dates for each phase.
With a VITEEE rank of 18,951, getting a seat in the core Computer Science Engineering (CSE) program at VIT Vellore is highly unlikely. The cutoff for core CSE at Vellore usually closes around 10,000 to 12,000 rank.
However, you may still have chances for the following at VIT Vellore:
CSE with specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
CSE with specialization in Data Science
CSE with specialization in Information Security
CSE with specialization in Bioinformatics

With an 80 percentile in JEE Main 2025 and being an SC candidate from Maharashtra, you have a good chance of getting into a decent engineering college, especially for mid-tier branches. While you may not be guaranteed a top-tier college like COEP or PICT, there are still good options within and outside Pune. VIT Pune and other private colleges in Mumbai could also be possibilities.
JEE Main Percentile & SC Category:
An 80 percentile is considered above average, and as an SC candidate, this can be a good foundation for admission to several engineering colleges.
COEP & PICT:
These are highly sought-after institutions, and admission is typically competitive, even for reserved categories. While you might not get your first choice, it's worth exploring the possibility of getting into these colleges through state-level counseling or special quotas.
VIT Pune:
VIT Pune is a reputable private engineering college with good placement records. Your 80 percentile should put you in a good position for admission, especially if you consider non-CSE branches,
Private Colleges in Mumbai:
Explore options like MIT World Peace University (MIT WPU) or Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University College of Engineering in Pune. You can also look at other private colleges in Mumbai like Vishwakarma Institute, and DJ Sanghvi, which are known for their MHT CET-based admissions.
Consider MHT CET:
Many Maharashtra engineering colleges, including COEP, primarily use MHT CET scores for admissions. If you haven't taken MHT CET, consider it as an additional option, as it can improve your chances of admission.
Explore Other Options:
Don't limit yourself to just the colleges you mentioned. There are many other reputable engineering colleges in Maharashtra and across India that you can explore, particularly if you consider mid-tier branches.
Supernumerary Seats:
Some colleges offer supernumerary seats for students who have not been admitted through the regular counseling process, but have demonstrated a strong academic record.

According to previous year's data, candidates aiming for a seat in Mechanical Engineering at VIT Vellore usually need to secure a rank within the 6,000 to 20,000 range in the VITEEE.
However, this range changes every year.
Hii,
VIT Vellore is very good for modern teaching, great campus, placements, and global exposure. It is private and a bit costly. Anna University is a top government college, famous for strong academics, low fees, and high respect in India. For certificate value, both are good, but Anna University has a little more government weight. Choose VIT for modern style and placements, Anna for strong academics and value. Both are good, depends on your need.

VIT Vellore has the most amazing infrastructure! The campus is huge and super clean. Classrooms are modern, labs are well equipped, and there are so many cool spots to hang out. It feels great to study here !
The infrastructure of the academic blocks is as you expect from any college and is really good and perfect with proper and big and spacious classrooms, labs, along with big spaces for sitting and also canteens shops and even the toilets are really good and well maintained other than that the campus is also really beautiful and spacious with many trees facilities along with transport facilities and various sports ammendments although the hostels depend on which type of block and room you pick they are mostly good except for summer times when vellore is really hot ACs in classrooms should've been put although they are present in labs and rooms, the food is also dependent on your block but it's really mostly good only.
Overall insfrastructure is average. academic building are well maintained but hostels are very congested. Once u get any any room its very hard to change(they will act like SBI employees to u when u fill application for room changing).
