VIT-AP is the Amaravati campus of Vellore Institute of Technology . It is a private university in Andhra Pradesh. It offers courses like B.Tech, BBA, Law, and others. The campus is new but well-developed. It follows the same pattern as the main VIT campus.

If your son got VIT-AP through AP EAMCET counselling, it means he got admission based on his rank in the AP state counselling. The college is good, has good infrastructure, and placements are decent, especially for CSE and related branches.

It is a good option if he wants to stay in Andhra Pradesh and study in a private university with good facilities.

With a VITEEE 2025 rank of 20834, it is difficult to get a Category 2 seat for ECE at VIT Vellore. Usually, ECE under Category 2 at Vellore campus closes around 15,000 to 20,000 rank.

Since your rank is slightly above that, the chances are very low. However, you may get Category 3 seat for ECE at Vellore or Category 2 seat for ECE at other campuses like VIT Chennai, VIT-AP or VIT Bhopal.

You have three options: SIT Pune (Electronics and Telecommunication), MIT-WPU Pune (Electronics and Communication), and VIT Pune (Computer Science through management quota).

If your main goal is good placement and overall personality development, then VIT Pune is the best choice. It offers strong placements in software and IT companies. Even if you are joining through management quota, you will get the same placement chances as other students.

MIT-WPU Pune is also good. It has a modern campus and helps students build communication and soft skills. But placements in the core ECE field are less. Most students go for IT jobs.
