Dear Aspirant,

With a VITMEE rank of 1010, your chances of securing admission in VLSI at VIT Vellore under Category 1 are quite strong. The expected cutoff for VLSI in Category 1 is generally around 10,000 or higher, so your rank comfortably falls within the safe zone. However, when it comes to Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), the competition is much stiffer. The typical Category 1 cutoff for core CSE at VIT Vellore is usually within the top 500–550 ranks. Since your rank is 1010, getting CSE under Category 1 is quite unlikely unless there are significant withdrawals or changes during the counseling process. You may, however, have a chance at getting into specialized CSE branches such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or Cybersecurity, where the cutoff tends to be slightly more relaxed, often ranging from 600 to 1500. It is advisable to prioritize VLSI in your counseling choices while also applying for other CSE specializations. Additionally, keeping an eye on Category 2 and 3 rounds could open up further opportunities, especially if seats are left vacant or higher-category students drop out. Overall, VLSI seems like a solid option at your rank, while CSE may require a bit of flexibility or a backup plan.

Hello Aspirant,

Thanks for reaching out!

With the rank of 3811 in AP EAMCET 2025 and belonging to the RWS category, you have a good chance of gettin ECE at VIT-AP. Based on the  previous years cut-offs the closing rank for ECE at VIT-AP has gone beyond your rank,so you are likely to secure a seat especially in the second round or subsequent rounds of councelling. Make sure to fill in your choices wisely and attend all counselling rounds to improve your chances.

Scoring 97 percentile in MPC from the Andhra Pradesh board is an excellent academic achievement and makes you fully eligible to apply for VIT Vellore’s integrated courses. However, admission to VIT Vellore especially for Category 1 seats primarily depends on your performance in the VITEEE entrance exam, not just on-board marks. While your high percentage fulfills the basic eligibility criteria, the allotment into Category 1 (which offers the lowest tuition fee) is generally reserved for candidates with top VITEEE ranks. For example, to secure Category 1 in high-demand branches like Computer Science Engineering (CSE), you typically need to rank within the top 950–1500. For branches like Information Technology (IT) or Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Category 1 is available up to ranks around 4000–5000. Therefore, if you are aiming for Category 1 at VIT Vellore, it is essential that you appear for the VITEEE exam and score a competitive rank. Without this exam and its corresponding rank, you cannot be allocated a branch or fee category. So, your next step should be to register for VITEEE, prepare well, and aim for a high rank to maximize your chances of securing a Category 1 seat in your preferred course.

Hello,

With a VITEEE rank of 100,564, you can expect to get branches like Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical & Electronics Engineering at VIT Bhopal and VIT AP campuses.

For a SRMJEEE rank of 29,267, you might be able to secure branches like Computer Science Engineering (CSE) with specializations in AI/ML or Data Science, or Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at the SRM Chennai campus, though potentially in a category with slightly higher fees.

You can check the below article to understand more

Thank you!!

With a VITEEE rank of 10,000, you have a good chance of getting into CSE (Computer Science and Engineering) at VIT Vellore's main campus, potentially even with a specialization.

While it might not be guaranteed in Category 1, Category 2 is a strong possibility.

Category 2 generally includes ranks between 8,000 and 14,000 for CSE at VIT Chennai, which means you are within the range for Category 2 in Vellore.

Remember that seat availability and your preference list during counselling will also play a role in the final outcome.

Thank you!

If you are taking admission in VIT-AP for CSE through EAMCET and you are from OC category without EWS, then the fee you need to pay is around Rs 1,98,000 per year as tuition fee.

You will also need to pay a one-time caution deposit of Rs 3,000, which is refundable after you complete your course.

If you decide to stay in the hostel, then the hostel and mess fee will be between Rs 1,50,000 to Rs 2,20,000 per year, depending on the room type you choose.

So in total, for the first year, you will have to pay around Rs 2,01,000 without hostel, or around Rs 3,50,000 to Rs 4,20,000 if you take hostel.

There is no fee relaxation for OC category without EWS through EAMCET.

Hello,

With an AP EAMCET rank of 118677 as an ST candidate, it's unlikely to get a seat in VIT-AP through AP EAMCET for popular branches like CSE or ECE.

However, there's a possibility of getting a seat in less competitive branches or in later counseling rounds, especially considering the 35 percent seat reservation for EAMCET candidates at VIT AP.

Between VIT-AP (Bhimavaram campus does not exist, you may mean VIT-AP Amaravati) offering IT (Information Technology) and SRKR Engineering College (Bhimavaram) offering AIDS (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science), here is a simple comparison to help you:

VIT-AP (IT Course)
It is part of the VIT group, which has a national brand name. VIT-AP is new but growing. IT course at VIT gives good exposure to coding, software development, internships, and projects. VIT also has centralized placement from Vellore main campus which supports AP campus to an extent. Facilities are modern. Some big companies do visit.

SRKR (AIDS Course)
SRKR is a well-established college in Andhra Pradesh. The AIDS course is new but becoming popular. SRKR has a strong academic base, and local companies do come for placements. The AIDS course focuses more on machine learning, AI, and future tech. Teaching is good but placements are more limited compared to VIT.

Which is better?
If you want a better campus, national brand, and more chances for software jobs, choose VIT-AP IT.
If you want to stay local and focus on AI-related career and are okay with medium-level placements, then SRKR AIDS is also a good choice.

For future growth, VIT-AP IT may give you more exposure and flexibility for higher studies or job opportunities.

Hello Sudhakar,

Your EAMCET rank is 7549 and you belong to the BC-B category, you have decent chances to get CSE with AI & ML at VIT-AP, especially in later rounds of counselling. However, cutoffs are not fixed and change every year based on a number of factors like available seats, number of candidates applied and category-wise distributions. So keep your horizon open and also consider backup branches.
