VIT Vellore has been ranked 691 globally for 2026 with an overall score of 25.4.
I am not a hostel student, but my friends told me that all facilities are available in the hostel. The hostel serves good quality food. Overall, it is a very good experience in the hostel with the rich environment and lifestyle. The hostel is suitable for all class students.
The course curriculum is very good. Faculty members in our college are professional. Most of the faculty members are doctorates. So their teaching level is high and very understandable. They are friendly with students. It is a very good college to learn. Faculty members are good.
About 90% of the students are passed out with good placements every year. Vellore Institute of Technology is also known as famous for its placement. Every student will get placed every year with good knowledge in good companies.
The college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. Classroom has an elevated platform for professors to teach, projector, well built benches and a wide chalk board. Labs are also well equipped and in collaboration with many external labs too. Wifi is provided in all school buildings and hostels. They are all used and well maintained. The living spaces are not so clean and the food is also not very hygienic.
I am studying B.Tech- Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. The quality of teaching is very good. I think my curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the field. The study makes you job ready.
The quality of placements at my college has been very good. A high percentage of students were placed. the highest salary package offered was 44 lakhs per annum by Microsoft to the stream computer science. average salary offered is 6LPA. I have not been placed yet.
College life in Vellore Institute of Technology is always a very memorable one for the students. It gives very good opportunities for the student in every field.
The infrastructure of VIT vellure is well framed and amazing construction view point. There is ambulance facility in our college. We have different laboratories various courses. Hostels and messes are well maintained. There are badminton courts, cafeteria and many more facilities for the Student. All the places are cleaned properly and food also in good condition.we have to furnish ourselves.
All the professors are well experienced and are very good in their fields so that they can taught us more extraordinary way of teaching. Complete syllabus is taught along with lab experiments. All the study materials provided by the teachers are of high quality. The course has a wide scope of opportunities. Syllabus is updated one. Choices are available to choose the subjects which we have study.
Software and core companies will be tonne. Core companies are less for civil . Core branches will chose highers. For cse, ece, mec, production, there will be a huge placement percentage every year. Amazon, Intel like product based companies are coming here for recruitment drive. Average salary package is 7.5 LPA. Highest salary package of 65 LPA at Amazon.
It costs around 90,000 rupees per semester which is pretty amazing considering all the facilties that they provide. Its really a blessing in disguise to get admitted in this prestigious college that we love. We can utilise all equipments to make sure job ready. So that our money will have worthy. I can say it is worthy to spend this huge amount.
It's like floating in river with others for no reason. There are a myriad of opportunities but you don't know where to go. You will develop laziness and more effective way of utilising the facilities. The blocks are very far from each others. You will be very tired and dead to move here and there even on a bicycle. Most of the students were enjoy their campus Life in a great way. Everyone have their own time to explore the university accessories. Always growing minded people are available.
It was a great experience I had Coming to this college and had changed my life. It not only provide me theories knowledge also practical knowledge which now i am using in my work and it's moreover focus on overall development and work on you dream. All the capability of the students will give more energy to grow up.
The college is amazing in terms of facilities and infrastructure. But only few of them are freely available to use. There is wifi all over the campus but the speed sometimes is low. The library in our college is really amazing and offers a wide range of books. Hostels are hygienic, well maintained and cleaned on a regular basis.
I'm currently pursuing B.Tech in Information Technology. The quality of teaching is okayish. A few teachers are excellent though. The curriculum is updated on a regular basis but I feel it's not upto the latest industry standards.
I'm not much aware about placement but as far as I know, almost everyone in branches like cse, it get placed. Highest goes upto 40lpa every year according to the articles published by our university. Average salary is around 5lpa for cse branches ( not sure)
The fee depends on the rank and category. I feel the money being spent is sometimes very high and middle class students find it hard to afford.
I have just been in the campus for 1 year and the remaining was in online mode. The campus was beautiful and was well maintained. There are a lot of cultural activities going on now and then.
Do join this college for cse related branches if your rank is good.
Well it's one the best colleges with infrastructure in my opinion it's better than a lot of new IITs out there the facilities are great for students it's having one of the largest libraries in India labs are well equipped and there are smart boards and Wi-Fi available food is very good comparing to other colleges as well.
Academics is also state of the art mostly all of the professors are PhD holders from forgein universities ciriculm is updated every year .Here you get chance to choose you're own subject as well as you're own teachers.
Placement is very good . It's having 100% placement rate last year highest package was of 44 lakhs. 700+ companies came for placements including Microsoft ,wipro, Google, tcs etc. Salary offered is very good in my opinion for a avg student which is ranging from 6 to 7 lakhs per annum
Well infrastructure wise the college is among the top college of India with a lot of world-class buildings name technology Tower Silver Jubilee Tower and a beautiful period library which has three floors with the numerous sections of books. The library is very good and large inside the campus and every student can take the advantage of it and issue any book for 2 to 3 weeks.
The CAD mix is fine but quite hectic I would say a bit excessive work has to be done with very less input of knowledge from those but he has the professors help a lot and they address each and every need of the student academics. It is quite similar to other colleges faculties are assigned the basis of their specialisation and the steam they have worked or are working in the case of visiting faculties.
Placements as a core part of the reason why VIT is preferred among other private institutes the placements are the pivotal part of VAT and to be honest we IT office in new label opportunities in different companies and fields with a lot of companies with visiting the campus.
Well, infrastructure wise the college is among the top colleges of India, with a lot of world class buildings namely Technology Tower, Silver Jubilee Tower and the beautiful Periyar Library which has 3 floors with numerous sections of book. The Canteens are also quite hygienic with a lot of varieties of food and the labs and equipment are also in good condition. The college also offers a variety of rooms in hostels with both AC and Non-AC types.
The academics is fine but quite hectic I would say, a bit excessive work has to be done with very less input of knowledge from those works but yes the Professors help a lot and they address each and every need of the student. I would suggest that the college should focus more on practical working rather than bookish knowledge
Placements are the core part of the reason why VIT is preferred among other Private Institutes. Many top tech companies come for recruitments. But to land a job in those top tech companies your DSA should be strong. The academics is fine but quite hectic I would say, a bit excessive work has to be done with very less input of knowledge from those works but yes the Professors help a lot and they address each and every need of the student. I would suggest that the college should focus more on prac
Value for money is a weak point here I would say as VIT charges according to the ranks and categories and the money is not same for all. More over academically the cost and the facilities do not match. Moreover , the institution charges for paper seeing and reevaluation also which is bizarre.
Campus life is the best part about VIT as you will get to know people from all around India and some others countries also. The location of the college is awesome there is greenery everywhere. VIT has proctor system which is your parent away from your home and they are rally supportive.
Yes, the college infrastructure is very good. There are many academic buildings all of them well maintained & serviced. The Library is one of the best in India with a geat variety of books & e- books available
I'm Studying B.tech in Mechanical engineering 3rd year. The quality of teaching is good enough but it has downsized a bit in the online mode. Yes, I think our study curriculum is well updated & meets industry requirements for placements
The overall placement in terms of numbers has been great. The most number of students being placed from campus in India is from VIT VELLORE every year. The highest salary offered was 40 lakhs last year. Although, I've given average rating because of a not so good reputation of placement in the mechanical department
The Value for Money is average because although you get good infrastructure, hostels, hygiene, quality mess food.. In the end what matters for me is the placement, and that is where it takes a little beating for the mechanical department
Campus life is great, there is lush green fields all around & greenery is widespread all the campus. The campus is extremely safe for all the students with guards keeping a watch everywhere all the time
Overall, i feel the college is great and I would definitely recommend it to a aspiring engineer who wants to develop in academics & at the same time enjoy his time at the campus. This is a great place to be :)
every student can take advantage of it and issue any book for 2-3 weeks. Hostels of the first year are also good and are equipped with air-conditioners We have ac in gyms and all the courts and does have the up to date equipments and clean facilities. Faculties and classes have good environment to teach, good college wifi
I am studying cse here as I didn't get jee or wbjee, and here cse branch has the highest placements. The quality of teaching here is so bad that students regret their decision of enrolling here and this is all
placements are limited but if you are hardworking enough and get your hands on coding , placement cell will try its best to get you placed in a private IT company. Good placements. Companies like Microsoft, Ciscco and other product based companies come. For a student having a decent cgpa and
Yes the college infrastructure is very good. There are a lot of buildings each assigned for specific purpose. All the labs and are well equipped with latest technical items and even abundant so every one gets to use them. The library is on ene of the best.
The academic is good. All the syllabus is regularly updated. All the faculties are well accomplished and qualified. In order to get good grades you have to study properly and not completely rely on the faculties.
The quality of placements is very good. Many people join VIT because of its placements record. The highest salary offered is around 45L and the average stands around 7-8l .Many companies visit VIT during the placement season.
Its a bit on the costly side to be honest. The very good academics with well equipped labs and wifi with good teaching, it is worth the money but then everything finally depands on what you do at the end.
Campus life is probably the best aspect for all the students in VIT. You have very good hostels and a huge amount of food stalls. You meet people from around India as well as the world. You have big grounds for your recreational activities and many clubs and chapters which you could join. VIT also has a small hospital of its own.
Hello,
With a JEE Main rank of 83,472, getting into VIT Mumbai in CAP Round 2 under the OMS (All India) category is not possible. In recent years, the cutoff for branches like Computer Engineering in CAP Round 2 was around 4,500 to 5,000. Since your rank is much lower, chances are almost negligible.
Hope it helps !
Hello Rahul,
Yes, if your VITEEE rank is at 18,000, you have a decent chance of getting a seat for EEE (Electrical and Electronics Engineering) at VIT-AP (Amaravati) campus when you attend the counselling, and take into consideration the overall cut-off ranks at VIT-AP for EEE are higher (i.e. easier with lower cut-off ranks) than at VIT Vellore or VIT Chennai, but realize it also depends on available seats and competition that year. You should register for entertainment purposes, and put down VIT-AP as one of your choices. Check here for more information: VIT AP cut-off 2025
Hello Aspirant,
Having a rank of 9973 in EAMCET under EWS means you can possibly get into Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) in VIT-AP; that will also depend on the cutoffs for this year based on from previous year's cutoffs. In previous years, candidates with ranks in the range of 10,000–12,000 have also gotten ECE, especially in the last rounds. The best way is to go through all the counselling rounds and keep some backup options. Check here for more information: AP EAPCET 2025 College Predictor
