The facilities provided are really good. We have almost everything which an elite college has. From sports facilities to food courts we have everything. Life in VIT is very interesting and fun. We meet people from all over the world and make friends with them.
We can choose our course and subjects on our own. Each branch of students have a given of courses which they have to complete in order to get the degree. Rest lies upon the students how they complete those courses. Students can select any faculty and time slot as per their choice.
Vellore institute of technology is a very good college in terms of placements. The campus is really beautiful. We have a system known as FFCS which stands for fully flexible credit system. Under this student can select their courses and teachers along with the time slot on their own.
College infrastructure of VIT is very good. It's infrastructure is one of the best among all engineering colleges of India. All the academic blocks as well as hostel blocks are well maintained and clean.
Academics of VIT University is average when we comes to faculties but you will get great peers and very much supportive seniors here who helps a lot in academics and projects that will helps you in getting placements.
Placement of VIT University is awesome. Almost all students get placed who sits for placements. Highest package of VIT is around 44 L and average package is about 6-7 L. Many MNCs visits during college placements and offer more than 10L package.
VIT University has category system ranging from cat-1 to cat-5. The fee of cat-1 is around 2L and cat -5 is around 4-5l. If you get in cat-1 and 2 it is worth it .CSE is worth it in all categories if you work good during your college days.
Campus life of VIT University is just awesome. there are more than 150 technical and non technical Clubs, Chapters ,Teams and NGOs are which make your college life so awesome. Riviera, Cultural fest of VIT ,Vellore is one of the best cultural fest of India.
Overall VIT university is worth it.
Really large infrastructure including all facilities. Lush green gardens and a lot of greenery all around the campus. Only electric buses and bicycles are allowed inside the campus to maintain that. Gym, stadium, big library, all Mart etc. You'll get all the basic necessities inside the campus. Even the hair dresser too. Classes have all the latest equipment and living places and food is really hygienic.
I'm currently studying mechanical engineering because I always had interest how machines works and to work around them. The quality of teaching is really good but these online classes has messed up things a bit. I think our curriculum is updated and makes us job ready.
I'm in third year so I don't know much about placement but heard from my seniors that a lot of companies come at campus and the deserving candidate gets a job. Heard that around 94% of students were places and highest salary was of 47 lakhs of cse branch.
My tuition fees is 2 lakhs per annum. When I was in I felt it was worth it but being at home it feels wastage. Because being a mechanical engineer I need to work with machines physically understand the challenges which isn't possible through online.
Campus Life was really amazing I love to sit in Library and the food was really really good. Worst feature is my classroom is really far from hostel. It's like around 3.5 km. Most of students engage in extra curricular activities. Students, teachers and all other staff members are supportive. It's in Vellore. Vellore is a good, green and safe place. It can handle emergencies well.
Collage infrastructure is great. Everything from swimming pool to Dominos, stadium, auditorium Everything at one place. Huge campus and green ecosystem helps student to have fresh day in the collage life.
Outstanding. All types of assignments and quizzes are taken by the professor. Regular interval of test helps student to revise the course periodically. Moderately pressure of academic helps student to improve student's brainstorm power.
Good grades means 100 percent placement. All types of companies come here and take interview including super dream company. If you are good in academics then sure shot placement. Best of luck to all !
Moderately ok
Enjoyable
Great experience and education wise outstanding
Amazing infrastructure with a lot of facilities. Great Cafe with good vibes. A library with vast collection of books. Great hostels with night canteens. Also academic blocks and research labs are well equipped.
A really nice FFCS system, where we can choose subjects of our own liking and teachers as well. Curriculum is updated every year. Projects and research based learning is encouraged. Teachers are well qualified.
Many students are selected for on campus placement. VIT is well known for its placements. Manu good companies offer great packages. Core branches have great placement percentage. Placement process is quite simple.
If you rank higher in VITEEE you have less fee than those with lower ranks .
The infrastructure is really good and provides a lot of facilities such as access to vast library and mostly neat hostel rooms. There is a great environment with boards and rooms for small discussions and proper managing systems. We also have a night mess. I liked the breakfast provided every day. We had AC and non-AC gyms inside the hostel. You will get a job after your graduation
The good thing is that we can choose the subjects, timing and faculty of our interest. VIT works on FFCS, which is a fully flexible credit system. Most of the faculty members are doctorates. So their teaching level is high and very understandable. This is a place of opportunities. Curriculum is made as required for a student to pursue what he/she wants.
Placements are average as compared to Tier 1 colleges. Average CTC offered in the year 2017 was around 5-6 lacs. but considering the number of students in each branch, those taking up the top placements(15-25 lacs) would be equal in number with those top tier colleges. I mean huge number of companies come here which pretty awesome but lot of them are offering low paying jobs plus the companies coming here are not recruiting students from all the branches.
The infrastructure is really good and provides a lot of facilities such as access to vast library and mostly neat hostel rooms. The hostels are equipped with ac and non ac.after first year the rooms are allotrd based on the cgpa .
I am studying Civil. This institution offers different courses under programme core ,programme elective, university core, university elective.TQuality of teaching is phenomenal. The teachers are very helpful.
This happens to be the best part of VIT . It has 100% placements. It is diveded into dream ,super dream and mass companies.almost all the students will be placed in the companies. The placements for cse EEE and IT are amazingAbout 90% of the students are passed out with good placements every year. Vellore Institute of Technology is also known as famous for its placement.A high percentage of students were placed. the highest salary package offered was 44 lakhs per annum by Microsoft to the stream
The tuition fees for the batch of 2020 was average. The four years spent seems totally worth it provided the purpose of gaining knowledge is fulfilled.
Great to enjoy great time with friends.
Pretty good, though the crowd is huge but you would get opportunities for sure. Faculties are good and co-operative in nature with good curriculum as planned by the authorities. The cse,it and electical people have very good infrastructure
Curriculum is good as planned by the authorities and it has really good teachers but u may suffer if u pick any blacklisted faculty so consult with the seniors , more or less the institute is really good with pretty good hard working stidents.
I don't know as i am in third year , but as per seniors the placement is more or less good with a huge recruitment in it sector where maximum people are placed. it also brings some mega giants like microsoft , hp, dell, delloite, goldmann sachs
A bit expensive but if u work hard u wud get the money easily back. The fees is bit high and very less people are alloted in the low category fees . As it is a pvt institute so it has more fees compared tp other colleges
Not so good, restrictions are too high. Too much restrictions for both girls and boys as both of them are separated into two halves ,even in fests the girls and boys are not allowed to be together. There are many guards keeping an eye on these bullshit thimgs.
Okayish , but if u get NIT or IIT dont come here as o did the mistake, u wud hae a better life there and also a greater confidence of being in a central government institute for sure . It also has not got recognition as bits so go fir nit instead of vit
The college Vellore Institute Of Technology, Vellore has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. The classes have smart projectors, a separate building has been constructed for the library, with several floors. Stadiums are present and all of them are well maintained. Food is hygenic and living spaces have regular cleanings.
I am pursuing Bachelor's in Technology with Electrical and Electronics Engineering. I am currently in the third year of my course. The curriculum is well defined and faculties are great. We have a good level of understanding of the subjects.
The quality of placements at Vellore Institute Of Technology, Vellore are amazing. A large number of students are places in super dream, dream and several other companies in many domains. A lot of opportunities are available.
The college is amazing in terms of infrastructure and facilities. The classrooms, labs are well maintained. The library is quite big, and has books on all things you could need. The hostel facility is nice. We have wifi in hostel, although speed is not very high. The living spaces are clean, and the food is hygienic.
The quality of teaching is okay. The professors are helpful. Some teachers are really great, but others are average, sometimes you will find better learning content on youtube. The curriculum is regularly updated and includes recent developments in the field, and the credit system allows us to choose our subjects. It will make you job ready.
VIT is great in terms of placements, about 85 percent students get placed, and the highest package is around 40 lakh. Average salary is 5-6 lakh. For higher packages, competition is high, and a very small number of students get the top packages.
Hello,
With a 40,000 rank in VITEEE, getting ECE in VIT Chennai might be a bit difficult since the competition for that campus and branch is usually quite high. The cutoff for ECE in Chennai generally closes within the first 20–25k ranks.
However, you can still get a good chance in other VIT campuses like VIT Vellore (through lower-demand branches), VIT Bhopal, or VIT-AP. You can also consider trying for ECE in these campuses since their cutoffs are usually more flexible.
It’s always better to attend counselling and check for seat availability sometimes, ranks close higher depending on the number of applicants that year.
Thank you
All the best

Hello,
Yes, with 90.5% in class 12th board examination and average 87% in PCM, your daughter has a high chance to get admission to the Integrated MTech course at VIT Chennai, and she can get branches with high demand.
Generally, VIT offers admission to the integrated programs based on Class 12 marks (Merit-based selection) rather than any entrance exams. The cutoff for Integrated MTech usually ranges between 80–90% in PCM, depending on the specialization and seat availability.
So, your daughter can get seat in VIT Chennai.
All the best.
