VIT Vellore has amazing infrastructure. There are various academic buildings which provide lots of facilities for students to excel in all domains. We have sufficiently large classrooms and laboratories with the latest equipment. We have a world class library that hosts a plethora of academic books and journals for reference, and even for borrowing. The sport centres provide an opportunity to perform well at all sports like badminton, basketball, and even powerlifting. Hostels are decent too.
I'm studying Computer Science and Engineering, as I'm interested in Software Development. The teaching is good, depending on the faculty. The curriculum is up to date as well, and professors sometimes provide us an opportunity to write research papers and do internships. We are taught a lot of subjects in our course, which are relevant for the industry and equip us with the necessary skills.
Placements are good as far as I've heard. Almost everyone gets placed, and the highest salary was 1 cr+ PA offered to 2 people. It of course went to computer science graduates. But someone from Mechanical branch also got around 50 LPA. The average salary is around 6 LPA, but a lot of people bag 10 LPA+ offers. I'm yet to experience placement myself as I'm still a Sophomore student.
It costs around 4 L per year (Including hostel and mess). The fee depends on what category you were allotted based on VITEEE rank. You will get your money's worth if you work hard and grab a good placement offer. If not, the ROI won't be as good.
Campus has good facilities in all aspects, but you're supposed to follow a lot of rules here. It's a discipline oriented environment. Students from all walks of life come here, so there's a lot of diversity. Teachers are decent, and a lot of them are helpful. But you might find some teachers who are not as understanding. Same goes for the support staff. It is located in Vellore which is a small town with some tourist sports and shopping complexes and a railway. CMC hospital is nearby.
college is huge so you will have all the facilities and the architecture is beautiful especially the b.arch building , classrooms are non ac with projectors {some are ac rooms} decent size to seat 60-70 students, coming to hostels, again given the amount of students it's difficult job to maintain it, apart from 10 floor blocks rest all are very clean, due to the huge amount of students in the 10 floor blocks they aren't that much clean and maintained
quality of teaching depends teacher to teacher, just like in every institute, lucklily i've come across some really great faculties in VIT during my last three sems, to be honest some subjects are not required to be taught to a CSE student and won't help you in general unless you're aiming for that field
CSE placements have been good, 7,000+ offers and highest placement was 75LPA this year with around 81 students getting an offer of 25LPA or more with 8.19L being the average salary offered, top companies were microsof, deshaw, amazon, paypal
i'm in category 5 so it costs around 5L a year for tuition, had i been in some lesser fee category i would've said 100% but still its a place where i can get the platform to do things i'm intrested in and showcase my talent
it's fine, there are restrictions and the in-time is early but college does host activities like we have monday music time to time sometimes there are dance performance in the common ground, vellore is a nice small place and you'll find almost everything here with some major brands showrooms nearby
Yes,Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore had a very good campus with a lot of facilities. As it is in Tamil nadu the weather is always hot there and the state suffers from scarcity of water but the college has 24*7 water facility. The campus has green environment.Classes have enough fans and ac facilities in the classroom. No disturbance in Library areas.Everything is well maintained.Food has many varieties, students can choose according to their taste. There is never lack of food in the mess.
VIT,vellore is a very strict college. It is not like any other engineering college.Studying in vit is a very prestigious thing.Teachers are very cooperative as well as take care of discipline. One should reach the class on time or will be marked absent on that particular day. There are many extra curricular activities also which make one's personality different.VIT offers ffcs which means fully flexible credit system,in this one can choose faculty according to their wish.VIT offers 100% placement.
VIT offers 100% placement. If a student studies well the in the period of their college, then they can get a very nice placement. Many mnc's good companies world wide companies come here to take the students.Average salaray offered is 5-7lpa.VIT is a very supportive college in every aspect.
As I am in BTech,it costs 1lakh 75 thousand per year, which is not very much.It is also like any another college.Infact it has very less fee structure. One can get scholarship according to their marks and ranks. This will reduce the fees more.I feel worth taking admission in VIT Vellore
Students have to follow rules and regulations of the college. There is strict rules. One can not smoke or dring around the campus.VIT is a very descent and disciplined college. One has to behave well and has to follow the rules strictly.Otherwise student can be heavily fined. You can do everything in campus just follow the rules and regulations. This will make your college life very happy and easy.
Studying in VIT will make a student well mannered well educated and well qualified.VIT gives 100% opportunity to every student. This is upon the student that how much they learn from it.Thankyou.
Vit really has a good and vast infrastructure. Well constructed buildings, good hostle facilities and amazing food. The library has all the books you need and is a very quiet and good place for your exam preparations. The wifi speed is really great all over the campus
Vit has amazing placement record over the past years and it is among top private universities. The academics, curriculum, and faculties are really great. You will be able to learn many things through the club and chapters also
Vit has great placement and average package records compared to other private universities. Many students get Dream and super dream offers from many tech giants. Many people also shared their experiences after getting the job.
Vit has a category system which depends on the rank you secured in VITEEE exam. And according as i got good rank i feel its worth money. Try to score very good marks and rank in the enterence test and you are good to go.
As said above, because of the best facilities, infrastructure, and environment you will be able to find people all over India and many from other countries too. So the campus life is gonna be amazing.
Overall its an amazing place to grow and learn. You will be meating amazing friends and seniors and the environment of the campus is also great. Many seniors also mentioned that they would like to experience all again.
Yes, the infrastructure, facilities and equipment are one of the best parts of the college. All of the places at the campus as well as the hostel are well maintained. They also have phone repairing shops, amazon pickup point, myntra pickup point, etc.
The faculty is very experienced and they provide great study material. Large numbers of research papers are generated from this college because of which it is one of the highest ranked colleges in India.
The quality of placement is great. They offer average placement of 6-7 lpa in cse branch. All the established and big MNCs such as Microsoft, Google, Infosys, etc. come here to hire students in large numbers.
College hostel provides one, two, three, four, and six bedded rooms with AC and without AC. Each student is given one bed, one table, and a cupboard. There is a laundry service every week for your clothes. The mess provides various types of meals on the menu, there are three types of mess Veg, Non-Veg, and Special. You get meal 4 times a day in a mess. Registration for hostels is first to come to the first basis on the website Vtop. No, you cant have a rented room or PG.
There is n number of courses to choose in this college. I choose my course because I had an interest in this side. As the college provides a lot of corses so, ratio of students studying are also high. Yes, I would say the faculties are may more qualified and knowledgeable. About teaching method it depends on faculty, not every facutly is a good teacher in Vit, some are very lenient whereas some are really strict.
Placements are very good in Vit, if you can maintain your cgpa well you will be easily placed. In the fourth year, companies start visiting colleges and start working on their recruitment process. Big companies like Intel, Qualcomm, Nokia, Paypal, Google, Microsoft, Tata, Infosys, etc visit college campuses to hire students. The highest package in vit was 75 LPA and average was around 7-8 Lpa and the lowest was 5Lpa.
The fee of Vit is average around 2 lacks per year for Btech, it's not high like Bits. I guess its worth money as the college is ranked really good. College provides on campus placements, many big companies like Google, Microsoft, Tata, Tech mahindra etc recruit students from the college. You can also get internships from the companies during the course
Gravitas and Riviera are the two fests conducted in VIT Vellore per year. Gravita fest in fall semester and Rivera in winter semester. Libraries are available in college campus , there are two types of library Regular and Digital. Digital library contains E-Books , Kindle etc. Classrooms are well maintained and clean. Vit indulge in all type of sports, a sports premiere league is held where wining teams get cash price.
The admission process is based on online registration. You need to clear an entrance exam VITEEE on the website www.viteee.vit.ac.in to get eligible for admission. The fee for the VITEEE enterance exam is 1150 inr. 2021 examination was online mode from home on the platform Codetantra. If you clear the examination then college will provide you course according to the rank you scored and cutoff.
Upright No.1 in my opinion. Mind-blowing big campus. Legit 0 compromises in this field. The classrooms, libraries, labs etc. Are very good, we also have free wi-fi with good enough speed (some websites are restricted). The hostels are clean and good. Laundry services are also provided and included in hostel fees. The mess is really good, they use really good quality groceries to make our food, the food tastes good too and there are options available like North Indian, South Indian so now worries
VIT Vellore Reviews for academics is quite good. It is hard to find good and clean food and accommodation facilities. The institute has a well equipped and sophisticated hostel network for all its students. Neat, hygienic and homely are some of the words used to describe the hostels at VIT.
Well, I am right now studying, but I heard from seniors that placements are good. The average salary package offered is 6 LPA. Top companies visit our campus to recruit students. The highest salary package offered ranges from 60-70 LPA. You can easily crack placements if you have a good CGPA, like around 9.
You should always be aware on what you are spending your money and 12 lakhs is a big amount. But while considering VIT, firstly consider VIT Vellore campus, which is the best campus, also CSE branch is really good in this college. There are multiple job opportunities and all the big companies visit the campus during placement. So, your money worth here. Just go for it.
Annual fest on which it is Rivera and gravitas the on the east happened in the month of October gravitas and river happens in the month of February the availability of books and journal in library as there the way it has a very big library of 55 floors they have around 10000 to 15000 books of every branches and novel and everything the sports in VIT every building has their own badminton court and in the main building area, you have a tennis courts basketball volleyball so the social groups in V
College has all the necessary infrastructure. Labs are well equipped and air conditioned. Library has vast range of books. Whole campus has WiFi. Campus is generally clean and food is hygienic. There are various facilities like gym, playground, sports equipment etc. Both AC and non-ac rooms with 1/2/3/4/6 bed available.
All teachers have PhD. They know the content very well. But sometimes they are not able to explain it to students properly. Teachers clarify doubts whenever asked. Curriculum is good and updated. To be job ready, students need some extra practice beyond curriculum syllabus
Placements are good. Every year more than 5500 students register for on-campus placements and more than 700 companies visit. Average CTC is around 7 LPA and around 20 percent of students get CTC of more than 10 LPA. Placement process is smooth and college is helpful during it.
VIT has different fee categories and it is assigned to student based on his performance in VITEEE. Is worth the money if you get get category 1 (2 lac per year) or category 2 (3 lac per year). Hostel and mess fees is separate and is based on number of bed in room and type of mess.
Campus has lot of clubs to join ranging from developers groups to non technical like drama/painting/animation clubs. Campus has a night closing time (9 pm) and if we enter late then there is penalty. exception is given for attending night events for club.\n If boy and girl get too close physically (hug) then there is punishment.\n Proctor is assigned to every student for whole 4 years who looks into well being of student.\n There is a railway track passing from mid of campus.
College has lot of opportunities and you just need to have zeal to use these in your favour. Learning beyond the syllabus is very important for placements as there are lot of students. Take admission here only if you are willing to learn by yourself.
Haven't visited the campus yet due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Since the college has over 30K students at a time in the campus, the college decided not to open it for offline classes for all students. They wanted to have a gradual opening plan but as we thought our chance came, third wave hit our dreams.
Almost every teacher is well aware of their subject but the teaching style isn't as good as it should be. Paper checking is not upto the mark and doubt solving regarding your marks, or getting them updated ain't easy. You will love a few teachers but you will hate a few teachers. So it's all balanced out.
Being in first semester, I can't judge placements. But with over 8000 students sitting for placements guarantees you one thing and that's tough competition. It will be very difficult to claim high packages.
No engineering college is a value for money unless the fees is actually low. I believe any college with a fees over 16L can never a value for money.
Haven't visited the campus yet. But what I know is that campus life isn't that joyful for students as it is for any other college students.
VIT Vellore has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipments which are required for proper learning of students along with good labs. All the labs are well maintained and fully air conditioned.
All the faculties are PHD holders and try their best to help students understand all the concepts in theory as well as in labs along with guided projects. Labs assistants are also there to help if required.
Placements are very good in VIT Vellore because most of the students gets placed. Many companies came even after COVid and offered handsome packages to students of different streams. Also, many companies came for mass hiring
Hello Student,
First of all YOU are not cooked; considering your JEE Main percentile, you have a good foundation and might not need to study 4-5 hours if you pay attention in class and ask and clear your doubts. In the first year, though. There will be continuous assessments, lab
