Our college has a wide campus with all the basic facilities available. The infrastructre is widespread and the classrooms are wide and well- maintained. All our clasrooms are hygenic and clean. There are sports centres and libraries available for the students. There are many hostel blocks for girls and boys differently.
I am a student of chemical engineering and the quality of teaching is the best. All the faculties are dedicated in teaching and they have a very innovative way of teaching. Our professors make sure that the students are well aware of the subject and assignments beforehand.
VIT is known for its placements and academics. Many of our seniors got their dream job and are now placed in different countries. All the students who achieve more than the cut-off cgpa for placements and are well-dedicated to studying will surely be hired by any firm.
I am a student of chemical engineering and thus I think I am well-satisfied by the money charged by the college. Many hackathons and competitions are arranged by the college to make us understand the subject in an innovative way.
Campus life is the most interesting and fun-filled. There is a tech fest GRAVITAS and our cultural fest RIVERIA. We all students enjoy during these fests alot and get to learn also. Our campus has all the facilities for it's students.
The infrastructure of the college is very good and is well equipped. The laboratory facilities for the Engineering groups is very good in comparison to that of the science. But, it definitely is good. The hostels are well maintained and the food is of good quality and taste. There has been certain cases where the hygiene was compromised, but the caterer were changed immediately upon complaint.
I did my MSc in Biotechnology (integrated). The classes are flexible and is very different from that of a school. One can choose the subjects they want to take apart from the compulsory ones for.each course. The curriculum is not well updated with the recent developments. But it covers maximum of it.
The placements for Btech and MS software are very good. When it comes to Science and other Mtech courses, the number of companies are very less. The mass placements are by IT companies. The companies like Reddy Labs, Syngene and Molecular connections for Biotechnology comes to recruit but the competition is among all the Btech, Mtech and MSc Biotechnology students, making it little hard to crack.
Merit seats cost less than 50000 for the tuition alone. Yes, I do feel I got money's worth since I was given a good theoritical practical training.
The best features are the clubs in the campus. One can easily find things that interest. The worst feature is the campus timing. We are not allowed to go out of the campus for more than 2 hours in normal days and 6 hours during weekends. It is very strict that way.
The college is fully furnished and has well-equipped labs. The infrastructure is impressive with a great cafeteria, hostels, and transportation facilities. In nutshell, the infrastructure is very well planned.
Academic staff is amazing with great knowledge and wisdom. They are dedicated to academic excellence , they focus on clarity and adherence to worldwide standards.Teachers are very helpful and help us in improving .
Here, placements are very decent and they welcome almost all types of companies in our college.VIT students set records year after year for getting a better placement. The highest package goes here to 30-35 LPA.
Vellore Institute of Technology, being a private engineering college, has a very high fees bracket. However it provides with all the facilities you will ever need. Goodhostels, green infrastructure and new and advanced lab equipments. Classrooms are spacious, airy and have smart boards. Labs are mostly air conditioned. VIT has a state of an art library with digital library for students and professors. Hostels are in plenty and well maintained and clean. Food is hygienic in mess and canteens.
I am doing my B.Tech in Automotive Engineering. It's quite an unusual choice. However that's what I had my interest in. Quality of teaching ranges from good to average depending on the faculty. However you can choose your faculty from 2nd semester onwards. Curriculum is updated and always supports students in research in new fields. There are also several clubs, chapters and teams for practical knowledge and makes you job ready.
The quality of placements is quite good with highest salary ranging upto 44 lakhs per annum. The percentage of students placed ranges even above 90%. The highest package was Rs. 44 lakhs p.a. given by Microsoft to CSE and IT students. Average CTC in 2019 was 6.05 lakh rupees.
VIT does have all the facilities a typical college should. The academic buildings are well maintained. Maybe a little bit more improvement for some academic buildings. But when it comes to hostels, there is a lot of scope for improvement especially in terms of hygiene and cleanliness. The Wifi facility is good but sometimes the connectivity is very poor and requires a lot of patience for downloading important material or apps. Food is good and edible. maintenance overall cannot be complained.
VIT is a highly reputed and popular college among many students for its world class facilities and this one reason is quite enough for why I joined. The curriculum does have a lot of promising courses. Some maybe a tad bit underwhelming because of the topics. According to my field, the curriculum is great, interesting and well thought out, but too soon to say if it makes me job-ready.
The quality of placements may one of the best in the country. Highly reputed MNCs from all over the world come to take interviews from students. They are offered super dream and dream contracts. The highest salary package was upto 40 lakhs per annum. Being just a sophomore and that too from chemical engineering stream, it's hard for me to conclude anything since the job opportunities are a bit underwhelming as well as for some courses like Biotech, and so on. The college is highly supportive.
My course costs about 1.73 lakhs per annum in the first category. The fees depends on the stream one chooses and the category he/she falls into which is decided by their rank. I do feel that I am getting the knowledge worth all the money given all the academic facilities, laboratories, clubs, etc. But there are some courses in some fields which may not be one's game or interest, but have to be cleared to move on to the next step.
The campus is huge and takes some time to navigate around landmarks and buildings. Money is highly appreciated. It speaks louder than anyone. There are many restrictions for female students and first year students especially. They are many facilities for fitness, arts, etc. But all of them require payment per semester. There are all kinds of people in VIT. Some are good, some are bad and some are just not worthy. The campus is located slightly away from the urban area. Good transportation, safe.
Money does the speaking in VIT wherever you go, whatever you want and whenever you're in need. The administration and faculty of VIT pose many surprises many a times which are sometimes are highly undesirable and hectic to a student. So, whoever joins VIT must be an extroverted socialite with a strong heart. Never the less it's all worth it.
Our college has the best infrastructure. The facilities and the equipment here are sufficient for the students at the time of labs. The classrooms are very well maintained. Here in our college every student is provided the wi-fi facility. All the classrooms have the smart board system. The food is very hygienic.
i am in 3rd in the stream of CSE. The quality of teaching is very good. Every student is placed at the time of placements and all the students are well trained for the placements. Here the lecturers are highly professional and talented. The curriculum is updated in time.
The quality of placements is very good in our college. The students are not only placed based on their CGPA but also the talents on coding, speaking skills. The highest salary package offered is 13 lakhs and the average salary offered is 5.5 lakhs. Our college and our lecturers are very supportive foe the students.
Infrastructure is really good. It is a very large campus and allows many restaurants as well as other facilities like malls and gyms. Living spaces are kept clean and hygienic. Excellent library and wifi facilities.
I'm studying B.Tech. and VIT is renowned for offering excellent BTECH courses. Our curriculum is updated and includes all recent developments. There are many ways to make a student job-ready and VIT teaches it all.
The quality of placement is really good and competitive related to other colleges. Our college is very supportive in terms of grabbing the best placements and preparing you for the same. Getting a placement becomes easy once you graduate from VIT.
My course costed 6 lakh per year. Money is worth the knowledge and grooming I recieve from the college. Every minute is fairly utilised and I get a broader aspect of the corporate world working with competitors and seniors .
The best features is the huge campus as it is . It serves a nice place to chill after a hectic day. Worst feature is the intime of hostel. Supportive staff and teachers are very helpful and the campus is a safe place to be in.
I'd give 4stars to my college. This is because it is excellent in terms of academics , placement, proper living and extra curricular activities and fests too. It organises webinars and grand functions where renowned people come to influence students .
Yes, indeed. There are maximum necessities taken into account. Facilities which are provided are sufficient for decent learning. Smart boards are in every classes, network is good as well. Maintenance is not an issue in VIT. VIT has got almost every sports covered apart from a few. Library is awesome. Some of the Labs are not that clean thogh. Food is safe to eat but very poor in taste.
I am studying Chemical Engineering in Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore. Reason being my interest in research, and to me, I lt seems that chemical engineering has a great scope of research ahead. Apart from a few teaches, I find a decent quality of teaching from the highly qualified teachera. Yes, curriculum in based on recent developments.
A lot of companies come here for placements, there has been a record of more than 93% placements from past 5 years to my knowledge. Highest package was offered to a student under Computer science (B.tech) of rupees 50 lakh.
Since I've got my admission under category 1, I'm charger around 1.73 lakh per year ar the tuition fee. The courses offered under this program are unique and hight quality of knowledge is provided to us.
Best feature can be the infrastructure and the management. The worst feature, I must say will be the hostel rooms! Emergencies can very well be handled with an ease. No issues with that, but I find some discrimination over the North and South indian parameter.
If you are a north Indian and a food lover, it may take a while for you to adjust. The food is cheap though, but the tastes is jot that good. Moreover, you must understand the rules and regulations very properly else you'll be expelled immediately.
Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. Our classrooms have projectors, laboratories have all the required equipment, library is huge and has lot of resources, e-books and amazing wifi. The hostels are well maintained, the food provided is healthy and tasty. There are gyms, swimming pools and playgrounds inside the campus. The campus is green and clean.
I'm pursuing chemical engineering because of my interest. VIT is one of the best option as it is good faculty, the quality of teaching is good. The curriculum is updated and includes all recent developments in the fields. the study makes us job ready.
placements in VIT is amazing. Approx 90% of candidates get campus placements. The highest salary package is 44.4 LPA in the computer science branch. The average salary offered is 6 LPA. The candidates are prepared for placement interviews through soft skills classes. The college is very supportive.
my course costs 1.73 Lakhs per year and its worth the money. The facilities and equipment provided to us during the course are worth it.
the campus has a lot of diversity. There are a lot of clubs and chapters that are of international recognition. we have a clinic inside our campus that is working every time. we have food courts too. The staff is always supportive.
The college infrastructure is amazing. Every student can find all the facilities and equipment in the campus. The labs are well equipped with apparatus. The library is the best place to study in the campus.
All teachers are good at teaching. Teachers are highly qualified and experienced. The study is relevant to make you industry-ready. The faculty are very supportive. In vit, there is an FFS system, so you can choose your own faculty.
Placements are good in the CSE department. Almost everyone who attends the placements will be placed in any company according to their performance. The average placement package in the CSE department is 7lpa. The placement committee is very supportive.
Hello Student,
First of all YOU are not cooked; considering your JEE Main percentile, you have a good foundation and might not need to study 4-5 hours if you pay attention in class and ask and clear your doubts. In the first year, though. There will be continuous assessments, lab
