Advanced Technical Training Centre, Sikkim Admission Process
An independent institution under the Government of Sikkim, the ATTC provides diploma courses in various engineering fields. Admission processes have been made flexible and open to potential candidates while being equally user-friendly for students. The basic criteria for admission are academic performance in relevant subjects. Furthermore, ATTC has the aptitude of conducting entrance examinations in order to test the aptitude of students towards such technical courses so that equally deserving candidates shall be picked with a firm foundation.
Eligibility criteria for the diploma courses require either 10+2 or equivalent pertaining to relevant subjects. Individual courses have their own specific eligibility requirements, which may differ. The candidates must consult the detailed eligibility criteria for the chosen program prior to application.
Application Process
The application to the Advanced Technical Training Centre in Sikkim proceeds with:
On the online application portal.
Creating an account/logging in the application system.
Enter all required information concerning personal data, academic information, and other details, all which are accurate.
Upload the scanned copies of all required documents, which normally consist of:
10th class and 12th class mark sheets.
Proof of date of birth.
Category certificate (if any).
Recent scanned photograph of size 3.5cm X 4.5cm.
Other documents as specified in the application guidelines.
Payment of application fee through one of the available online payment gateways.
Cross-verify all the information entered in the application form along with the uploaded documents for correctness.
Submit the complete application before the given deadline.
Depending on the program and latest admission policy, the shortlisted candidates will undergo an admission test/interview.
Final selection depends on academic performance, admission test score(s) if any or any other requirements imposed by the institute.
The selected candidates will be offered admission, who will then confirm acceptance by the payment of dues and deposition of original documents for verification within the dates present in the offer letter.
Degree-wise Admission Process
The ATTC runs five full-time diploma programs across engineering domains. For each of the programs, the admission procedure is as follows:
Diploma in Civil Engineering: Entry capacity is 60. Admission is based primarily on performance in relevant subjects, dealing with mathematics and science.
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering: Entry capacity is 60. Performance in the area of mathematics and science is taken into account for admission, but there could also be evaluation of aptitude for the concepts of mechanical engineering.
Diploma in Mechatronics Engineering: 60 seats. Admission considers performance in related subjects during 10+2, i.e. mathematics and physics.
Diploma in Computer Engineering: 45 seats. Students should have basic knowledge of mathematics and computer science. Admission may consist of logical reasoning and problem-solving assessment.
Diploma in Manufacturing Technology: 45 seats. Admission is primarily on the basis of academic records in any engineering-related subjects at the 10+2 level.
