It was very nice. It has a very good and feasable structure allowing us students to overcome our fears and concentrate on students skills it helps us delevelop not only in studies but also supports all kind of sports etc....
It was very nice teaching staff are very friendly and helps us in every thing like projects and have vast research experience staff helps us gaining knowledge and standing out when it comes to competitions.
Wide range of opportunities , it has all a grade companies like amazon, microsoft ,cisco, sap labs offering high packages anf students are also trained for those placements properly which is a rare feature.
Yes vast experience
Oustanging experience
Perfect
Regarding the above, the only thing lacking is new age laboratory instruments like digital universal testing machine & Digital Consolidation testing apparatus. We still do have the analog counterparts but, considering it to be an A grade University with high tuition fees this is a downside. We do not have any specialized labs for Transportation Engineering if that's what you are looking for.
This is a research institution so Academics are excellent. As I previously mentioned the only area we are lacking in is Transportation Engineering. The faculty are experts in their respective fields. More information here--> ( https://www.amrita.edu/school/engineering/coimbatore/civil ) under faculty tab. We still lack an experienced faculty in Transportation Engineering //So lookout if you want to pursue Transportation Engineering.
If you want to pursue in core Engineering, only a few core companies hire during ON-Campus-Placements. There are mass recruiters (BYJU's Etc.) and getting in is a piece of cake with a good starting yearly salary. Campus placements itself is a department (called CIR - Corporate & Industry Relations) who work around the year to help students get placed. They also help students to hone their skills in Aptitude & Practical English.
I pay approx Rs.250000 in tuition fees every year. Personally, for me, I think it was worth it, considering that it is a private tier 1 university & the value that the certificate holds in the community. Civil Engineering department specifically is recognized by the National Board of Accreditation for its Curriculum, so the Certificate holds its value internationally. I'm not sure if it is worth it for upcoming students because the fee structure is revised every year.
In-campus living cost is high approx. 1Lac for mess and hostel. So make sure if economically it is viable, with an allowance of at least 5 to 6k every month for any additional expenses. Economically speaking it is a big investment. Overall Campus life is exciting and outstanding.
Always consider decisions based on the economy. Consult desicions like this for its economic imporance with your parents/gaurdian in advance looking at overall scale (for all the four years).
With an 88.6772 percentile in AEEE Phase 1 and being a home state candidate from Tamil Nadu, your chances of securing a seat in Aerospace Engineering at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus , are limited. Historically, the cutoff for Aerospace Engineering has been significantly higher. For instance, in 2021, the closing rank was around 29,324 , corresponding to a percentile of approximately 98.06%. (https://www.sarvgyan.com/articles/aeee-cut-off?utm_source=chatgpt.com)
Given this, it's unlikely that you would fall within the required percentile range for Aerospace Engineering. However, you might consider other engineering branches that have lower cutoffs, such as Mechanical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering , where the home state cutoff has ranged between 50–65 percentile in previous years
