The department of Mechanical Engineering was started in the year 1994. The department offers B.Tech program in Mechanical Engineering. At present, the department intake capacity is 180 students per year in the B.Tech level. The department has competent and committed faculty members drawn from industry, practicing professionals and academicians to enhance the delivery of academic programs. The department has evolved a comprehensive student-centric learning approach, designed to add significant value to the learner's understanding in an integrated manner through workshops, lab sessions, assignments, training, seminars, projects and independent study. The hands-on training offered our CAD/CAM training in latest design software brings in a formal method of familiarizing with the industrial practices helps the students to apply their classroom knowledge to live industrial situations.

Eligibility Criteria

A pass in 10 + 2 (Class XII) or its equivalent examination with minimum 60% aggregate of marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and with not less than 55% individually in each of these three subjects.

Admission Details

Admissions to B.tech programs in Amrita are based on ranks secured in either Amrita Entrance Exam (AEEE) or JEE Mains.
70% of the seat allotment will be through AEEE and 30% through JEE Mains.

Hostels are good but wifi has too many restrictions .Hostels are good but wifi has too many restrictions. Hostels are good but wifi has tooo many restrictions and the hostel canteen doesnt have much of good food

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure is very good at Amrita School of Engineering The quality of food is good in the college. Hostel Rooms are little bit small it is a 4 members sharing but we can adjust. Infrastructure is upto the expectation.

College Infrastructure

The laboratories are well equipped with latest technologies.Every classes have smart board and projectors. The library is very resourceful to read and search for books. Tge hostel is very nice and spacious
