Basirhat Government Polytechnic, Basirhat Admission Process
Government-Basarat Polytechnic, is a state-run technical institute situated in Basirhat, West Bengal. The institute runs diploma programmes in engineering disciplines. The courses are duly approved by the AICTE. Admission takes place based on merit, through the Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnics West Bengal (JEXPO). In general, a Government-Basarat Polytechnic candidate must have passed the 10th class with Mathematics and Physical Science as subjects. Candidates must regularly check the official WBSCTVESD website for all official notifications regarding JEXPO dates and updates.
Government-Basarat Polytechnic Application Process
- Registration is to be done for the JEXPO examination under the auspices of the West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development (WBSCTVESD).
- Fill up the JEXPO application form properly with all personal and academic details.
- Payment of the application fee has to be made as specified by the exam authority.
- Candidates must appear for the JEXPO exam on a specified date.
- The successful candidates are called for counseling after the declaration of results.
- In the counseling based on their rank and seat availability, they should list Basirhat Government Polytechnic and the course of their choice
- If a seat is allocated, candidates must report to the polytechnic for document verification and admission completion.

Focus: Fundamentals and applications of electrical engineering. - DIPLOMA IN RENEWABLE ENERGY
Seats: intake 60
Admission through merit in JEXPO.
Duration: Three years.
Focus: Sustainable energy technologies.
Fee structure: For all diploma programmes: Rs. 4,090.

Academics
Our teachers are very friendly and kind hearted. They always makes sure to make us understand. They have very good knowledge and there way of teaching is easy to understand. We also have large library where teachers are always available.
College Infra
Our college have very good infrastructure,it has large wide class room. We have smart class room also. Unfortunately we don't have enough play grounds but we have one racket court. Our college consists total three floors and have also a big workshop buliding.
Placements
This is the point where my expectations doesn't match. Our college don't have good placement rate (only for computer and technology department) . Most of students remain unemployed or gets a low salary package. That's why they have to perceive higher education.
