The college library plays a pivotal role in every educational institution. A library is not an organization by itself but an organism. To carry out academic pursuits Library is vital. The Central Library of Bhima Bhoi Medical College & Hospital, Balangir started with the strong determination of Prof. Dr. Lalit Kumar Meher, the first Dean & Principal, and Prof. Dr. Manasee Panda, HOD Community Medicine, the first Officer-in-charge. The Library began with only 177 numbers of books and 10 journals donated by the Dean himself and the faculties. Upon receiving the grants from the Government of Odisha, Health & FW Department, Books have been procured and journals [both national & international] are subscribed.
