      • Merit List: Based on the performance of candidates in examination qualifying for admission, a merit list will be prepared by the institute.
      • Counseling: Shortlisted candidates may be called for a counseling session where they can choose their preferred course based on their merit rank and seat availability.
      • Admission Confirmation: Payment of admission fees and other admission related processes must follow to be finally accepted.
      • Orientation: Orientation is also undertaken by the students admitted, which familiarises the students with the institute, the facilities, and the course laid down.

      Dhalai District Polytechnic Diploma courses Admission Process

      Diploma in Civil Engineering: Approved seats for this programme are 40. Hence, admission is made according to the merit in the qualifying examination regarding qualifications in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry. The duration of the course is usually three years and it gives most students a foundation to learn principles and practices in Civil Engineering.

      Diploma in Electrical Engineering: The programme has an intake capacity of 40 students and provides complete training in the aspects of electrical engineering. The admission is based on the performance of the individual in the 10+2 examination-ascribed mainly to subjects concerning science and mathematics. The course will take three years for a student to complete such practical and theoretical skills in electrical systems.

      Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering: The approved intake for this programme is also 40 students. Admission is based on the candidate's performance in the qualifying exam with emphasis on Physics, Mathematics, and related subjects. The three years of the diploma course covers various fields under electronics and telecommunication engineering, geared toward preparing students for the explosive tech industry.

      Dhalai District Polytechnic Documents Required

      • 10 and 12 standard mark sheets and certificates
      • Transfer certificate from previous institution attended
      • Character certificate
      • Caste certificate (if needed)
      • Recent photographs of passport size
