Positive learning atmosphere with modern campus facilities

    Anonymous Posted on 15 Mar'26
    PGDM - Batch of 2027-01-01
    2.4

    Academics

The college has a dedicated innovation cell that supports student startup ideas with mentorship and seed funding access. That culture of entrepreneurship is a real plus. However, the formal curriculum does not integrate these opportunities well, meaning students interested in entrepreneurship have to manage it entirely outside their academic schedule.

    College Infra

The campus is large, well-connected internally, and easy to navigate. The covered walkways between buildings are a lifesaver during monsoon. However, the gymnasium equipment needs updating — several machines are broken and have been out of service for months without any sign of replacement or repair by management.

    Placements

Aptitude and coding training begins in the second year and is serious enough to make a difference by the time companies arrive. The structured preparation is a major differentiator. However, the training content is not updated frequently enough to reflect current hiring trends, especially for product companies that test differently now.

Modern facilities with practical skill development

    Academics

Visiting faculty from IITs and industry backgrounds are brought in for specialised subjects, and these sessions are genuinely among the best learning experiences on campus. However, they are too infrequent. Regular faculty for the same subjects are noticeably weaker, creating a wide quality gap that students find discouraging.

    College Infra

The innovation hub with 3D printers and hardware kits is a great facility that many colleges lack. The auditorium is large and well-equipped for events. However, the roads inside campus are uneven and waterlogging during monsoon is a recurring problem that management has not addressed despite multiple complaints.

    Placements

Companies from diverse sectors visit IT, manufacturing, banking, and FMCG which gives students across departments a fair shot. The placement office does not restrict opportunities by department. However, the higher-paying roles consistently go to students from CS and IT backgrounds, leaving other branches with limited premium options.

Supportive faculty with strong academics and placements

    Academics

Most faculty members are knowledgeable and genuinely committed to teaching. Office hours are maintained and professors respond to queries fairly promptly. However, a few professors in core subjects still rely on decade-old notes and make no effort to update content. The inconsistency in teaching quality across faculty is frustrating.

    College Infra

The campus is well-maintained and the labs have decent equipment overall. Wi-Fi coverage is good in most academic blocks. However, the hostel internet is painfully slow and drops out almost every night. The canteen is clean but gets extremely overcrowded during lunch hours with not enough seating for everyone.

    Placements

The placement cell is well-organised and communicates drive schedules well in advance. Mock interviews and aptitude sessions start from third year, which gives students adequate time to prepare. However, the variety of companies visiting is limited — most are IT service firms. Students from non-CS branches get significantly fewer opportunities.
