Ghatal Government Polytechnic, is a well-known technical college in Ghatal, Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal. There are three full-time three-year diploma programs provided by Ghatal Government Polytechnic.

Diploma in Civil Engineering: The approved strength of intake is 60. Admission in the course will depend on the candidate's marks secured in the qualifying examination and also on an entrance test as recommended by the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education.

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering: There are 60 seats available in this program. The admissions, like that for Civil Engineering, are made considering the student's performance at the time of applying and the score obtained at the entrance test.

Diploma in Electrical Engineering: There is also an intake capacity of 60 students for this program. The selection procedure and criteria of admission for this program are just like those offered by the institute.
