Government College of Technology  Coimbatore opening cutoff for ECE is 189 and closing cutoff is 187.25

see I would suggest you to go for civil engineering in Government college of engineering salem. since civil engineering belongs to a core engineering discipline, it has more work and higher study opportunity than production engineering. however being from civil department you may work as a field engineer, manufacturing supervisor, cad or cam design engineer, structural engineering etc. also there is several m.tech opportunity and government psus jobs available for civil engineering passed graduates.

In 2019 the cut off for GEC, Salem for SC category was 136 marks for Mechanical Engineering. The subjects that are involved to calculate the cut off are Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and your cut off score is 90 marks, Considering previous year cut off you may not get seat in Government Engineering college, Salem.
