Government Engineering College, Khagaria Admission 2025: Dates, Application Form, Courses, Fees & Eligibility

After the students were admitted to the B.Tech programmes, Government Engineering College, Khagaria continued offering high-quality technical education, and it was founded in Khagaria, Bihar. With a well-planned admission process, the college tries to select the best and the deserving candidates for its B.Tech programmes. Government Engineering College admission is primarily made based on two entrance examinations that include the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) and the State-level Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE).

The whole cycle is quite dependent on the academic year, which generally begins around August-September. Students wanting to get admission into the Government Engineering College, Khagaria, have to appear in either JEE Main or BCECE. These two tests measure students' concepts in physics, chemistry, and mathematics, which are all important for engineering streams. The exam date announcements and application process for JEE Main are done annually by the National Testing Agency, which is responsible for administering it. The BCECE is different with its own schedule, as stipulated by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board.

There are several steps under which the application process for admission to GEC Khagaria is carried out:

• Entrance Examination: Candidates are to appear for either JEE Main or BCECE. Normally, applications for JEE Main will be present on the website of NTA, while those of BCECE can be found on the BCECEB portal.
• Result Declaration: Candidates will be waiting for the results and ranks to be published.
• Registration for Counselling: Registered candidates will need to register for the counselling process. This exercise usually goes through a centralised system for state-level admissions in Bihar.
• Choice Filling: During counselling, candidates will have to indicate their choice of colleges as well as courses.
• Seat Allotment: Based on the rank attained by a candidate and the preferences filled in, all attention is given to seat allotment.
• Document Verification: If a seat has been allotted to a candidate from the  Government Engineering College Khagaria, he/she then need to report to the college for document verification. 
• Fee Payment: Verification being successful, candidates are required to pay the admission fees to confirm their seat.
• Final Admission: After entering the fee into the system, the admission is complete, and the candidate is officially enrolled in the respective B.Tech programme at Government Engineering College, Khagaria.

The college offers five B.Tech programmes, all with a duration of four years. Government Engineering College admission in all these B. Tech programmes are the same and are based on the score attained in JEE Main or BCECE. The programmes, along with their respective intakes, are:

• B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering (60 seats)
• B.Tech Electrical Engineering (60 seats)
• B.Tech Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (60 seats)
• B.Tech Internet of Things (60 seats)

For all these programmes, candidates must appear in the Screening & Main Examination of BCECE or JEE Main. The same admission procedure is followed by each specialisation, and allocation of seats is based on the rank and preferences of the candidates.
