Government Engineering College, Lakhisarai (GEC Lakhisarai), is an eminent name in engineering education within the state of Bihar, India. The college has its own separate admissions system for the B.Tech programmes, fully functional for sifting talented and deserving candidates. GEC Lakhisarai has the approval of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), ensuring that the programmes maintain national standards for technical education.

The GEC Lakhisarai admission mainly depends upon national and state-level entrance tests in a process consisting of two major entrance examinations:

• The Joint Entrance Examination, JEE Main, conducted by The National Testing Agency (NTA).
• The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE), conducted by The BCECE Board.

Candidates wishing to take admission in GEC Lakhisarai now have to participate in the Undergraduate Engineering Admission Counseling (UGEAC) organised by the BCECE board.
