• The admission to Government Polytechnic, Channapatna  Diploma course is conducted by DTE Karnataka.

• Candidates interested in applying for diploma courses can get application forms from any of the nearby Govt/Aided Polytechnics.

• The filled application forms have to be submitted by the candidate to any one of the nearby Government/Aided Polytechnics where verification of all relevant original documents takes place.

• The candidates are required to enter their preferred college and course options through the online option entry system. 

• The college follows an Online non-interactive counselling process for admission.

• Once the verification of the document and option entry is done, the non-interactive admission software allots the diploma seat to the candidates according to their preference.

• The seats are allotted on the basis of merit and reservation category. 

• The admission process is completed after payment of fees and candidates are required to report to the institutions within stipulated time.

Note: The college provides lateral entry to the second year to the candidates who have passed the SSLC or Equivalent Examination with 35% of marks in aggregate and should have passed  ITI (2 Years Course) /PUC II.
