Government Polytechnic College for Women, Madurai, and provides excellent technical education for women. The institution is AICTE-approved and offers several diploma courses. To cut the long story short, this institution has been designed to be simple and free for aspiring female aspirants. Our college usually adopts the admission procedure which has been laid out by the Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu.  

Candidates fulfilling eligibility conditions shall be eligible to get admission in Government Polytechnic College for Women, Madurai, for diploma programs conducted by this institution. Their eligibility would be successful completion of the approved qualification of 10th standard or equivalent examination conducted by any recognized board. The college considers the marks obtained in this examination as the basis for admission. Since this institution is meant for women candidates alone, all courses in this institution will only be open to female candidates.

Degree wise Admission Process

Diploma in Civil Engineering: This program has an approved intake of 60 students. Admission is based on the candidate's performance in the 10th standard examination, with a focus on mathematics and science subjects.

Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering: The course is having an approved number of 60 students. This course gets students on the basis of their 10th standard scores in mathematics and science.

Diploma in Computer Engineering: This course also has an approved intake of 60 students. Admission to this program is based on the 10th standard performance of the candidate and gives emphasis on subjects like mathematics and science.

Diploma in Garment Technology: The capacity of this program in the college is 60. Admission for this course is based on the scores of the candidate at the 10th standard and the aptitude for design and technology.

Diploma Commercial Practice: A number of 60 students can be permitted for this course. The criterion for admission to this course is on the basis of performance in 10th standard examination, particularly in mathematics and language skills.

Diploma in Instrumentation and Control Engineering: This course only has an intake of 30 candidates and admission is based on the student's performance in the 10th standard. Admission is made on the 10th standard performance in mathematics and science subjects.
