Government Polytechnic for Women, Siddipet Admission Process

The Government Polytechnic for Women, Siddipet, and thus considered to be one of the successful institutions dedicated to providing quality technical education approaching for women's engineering only. The college is affiliated as per respective authorities, sanctioned by AICTE, and offers three different diploma programs in Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Computer Engineering. Thus, all eligible women candidates will have the same opportunity to get admitted to one clear process at the Government Polytechnic for Women, Siddipet. 

Most likely, the basic eligibility for admission into the diploma programs of Government Polytechnic for Women, Siddipet consists of:

  1. Completed 10th standard or equivalent from a recognized board;
  2. A minimum percentage in qualifying examination (may vary);
  3. Female applicants are only admitted since it is a women's polytechnic.

Application Process

1. Notification: The admission notification usually released either in local newspapers or in the institute's official websites is also by the state technical education board. 

2. Application Form: Obtain or fill out the application form. This can be either downloaded from the institute's website or from the portal of the state technical education board.

3. Document Submission: Candidates are required to submit, together with the application, necessary documents, which may include:

  • 10th standard mark sheet and certificate
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Domicile certificate
  • Common recent passport-size photographs

4. Entrance Examination: Candidates will have to appear for the state level of the entrance test for admissions into polytechnics.

5. Merit List: After conducting entrance exams and/or aggregating 10th standard marks, a merit list is prepared.

6. Counselling: Shortlisted candidates will then be called for counselling, where candidates can select their most preferred course as per the rank of the candidate and availability of seats.

7. Admission Confirmation: After allotting the seat, a candidate has to confirm admission by submitting original documents for verification and payment of fees.

Degree wise Admission Process

Diploma in Civil Engineering: The diploma course in Civil Engineering is a three-year diploma program that covers several fields of Civil Engineering. It has an approved intake of 60 students. The admissions are granted to the candidates based on the merit listed in the qualifying examination and any entrance examination conducted by the state's technical education board. 

Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering: This program is a three-year course with the same approved students' intake of 60. This two-degree admission manner is also applicable to the Civil Engineering diploma that takes admission based on the merit scores in the qualifying and entrance examinations. 

Diploma in Computer Engineering: The Computer Engineering diploma is a three-year degree course with 60 seats available. Admission criteria and procedure are the same as that of the other two diploma courses on offer from the institute.
Most probably, merit admission would be for all three programs depending on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination (10th standard) and the score in the corresponding entrance examination conducted by the state technical education board.
