Government Polytechnic Joshimath is an attached college situated at Dhak, Chamoli in Uttarakhand. It offers diploma programmes in various engineering disciplines and recognises the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The process of Government Polytechnic Joshimath admission is primarily through the Uttarakhand Joint Entrance Examination Polytechnics (Uttarakhand JEEP).

Diploma in Civil and Environmental Engineering: The approved intake for this programme is also 30 students. Admission into this course is based upon the JEEP examination conducted by the Board of Technical Education; similar to the Electrical Engineering diploma mentioned above. This is meant for students who want to specialise in civil and environmental engineering.
